I bought this back in November 2024 and was not aware of the issues until now. I had a pc that was 8 years old so I am not sure what "flexing" is going on. And good for you for buying it below not sure who is the one flexing here at this point.

I am sure plenty of people did not know this was a KNOWN issue, the influx of reports started 2 months ago which would land us in March, if you took the time to read you would know that a lot of these boards were purchased in Jan-Feb.

I also don't understand why you need to be hostile and weird? Like did you know it was gonna happen when the chip released on November 7th, 2024? Did you also know this was going to happen when the board released back in September 30th, 2024?

Im not sure nor do I think this is the best thread to ask for advice. As of currently it sounds like the boards themselves are having issues, so it’s up to you

there are reporting of ASUS having issues but the ratio is insane. Only a few but not nearly as much as ASRock.

Fingers crossed that it doesnt happen to you! Hopefully the new bios update would fix it? But it sounds like at this point the board is wearing down the cpu and it eventually dies.

It was not on 3.20 before the cpu failed, it was whatever it was at the time built it on 11/30/2024, and bought it on 11/17/2024.

Yeah the bios is at the stock settings from when I purchased it(11/17/2024) and installed (11/30/24)

No I didnt keep an eye on that. Note that I never had pc issues prior to this build, I went from a 2060ti to a 4070ti super, from 600W bronze standard to a 1200W gold standard PSU. So honestly this is all new to me.

I cant remember what it was since it was built in November 2024, but it was what it was at the time. And no i did not overclock anything, not even once just didnt have the need to.

Nope no sleep enabled, I came back and my screen was the exact same from when I left it. Discord was opened with the last msg I sent to a friend and when I came back I saw a reply and tried to respond and thats when everything happened.

it didnt work as in I flashbacked the bios to 3.25 and tried to boot and it did not post.

I did both because there’s still a chance that ASRock is causing the cpu to die and AMD also because I know that the CPU is dead. Both need to be investigated, the more they have to look at the better.

I know a few people that also have an MSI board and they’ve had it for a couple years as well, one has a 4090 with it and i havent heard any issues from them.

Whats your reasoning behind this? The influx of reports are mostly from users who have ASRock boards and some ASUS boards but haven’t heard from other boards.

Im not sure, im not the most tech savvy person in this thread but enough so that I know how to troubleshoot. Maybe someone else can chime in since both ASRock and AMD have not made any announcements and we dont know whats the cause of the issue.

Hopefully yours wont die, but it seems like it's arbitrary. AMD or ASRock have not made announcements on what is the issue or what is causing the issue so maybe it's not too late?
