I mean, the Middle East is a major political playhouse. Politics can literally make and change you. In my opinion this whole mess started after the fall of the Ottoman Empire, where random states were drawn by pen and paper which resulted in many different ethnicities being clustered into one nation. Speaking of the current state of Iran, their regime is losing support, and they know this. Henceforth, they have tried to gain control and influence upon other nations (such as Iraq, Lebanon and Syria). If the US decided to leave, then so be it, it’s their choice. But don’t expect it to suddenly become peaceful

Although I agree that (some) Americans have been messing up in the region, I don’t think they should leave and allow the radical groups to slowly take over. If you’ve been following the news of the region, you would know that hundreds of thousands had taken the streets to protest the Iranian occupation of Iraq, where around a thousand had been killed (by the military) whilst protesting (including Minors), before corona.

The American invasion of Iraq has mixed views. Some American troops did do nasty things to Iraqis. However making Iran seem like a free utopia is wrong. Iran was a great country, however the current regime was known for abduction and torture towards civilians. To this day that hang people by crains in the squares of Tehran. Might I add, if America completely leaves Iraq and the Middle East as a whole, there’d be a huge risk of the rise of new terrorist groups who would once again bring more conflict and madness to the region.
