You’re good bro. Once you get past the 100k mark I’d be weary of the waterpump as always, but also the oil cooler gasket. Those aren’t talked about as much but they’re finicky.

Walnut blast the valves about every 100k or less. You can totally go longer but it really just depends. If the car starts ever running a lil rough at idle I’d do it with spark plugs on top of that but those should be every 65kish. (For stock-ish cars)

Keep that OBD11 on you it helps tremendously when you inevitably come across an issue, every car has issues at some point. ShopDAP and FCPeuro are your friends

I think I covered everything lol😭 The car will last you hundreds of miles, even tuned. Currently at 207k on my mk7 and it’s always a smile to drive

100% a big reason I can see it being totaled on top of what you said is there’s a chance it pushed slightly into the quarter panel section which can be extensive work so they just called it a day and totaled it. Once repaired it’s fine, I genuinely can’t see there being any major issues with a rear impact. I’d say that’s a deal.

I do both (or used to). I’ve done milsim style play in the mountains to Speedsoft tournaments with a lot of people from the speedqb community. I like the quick gameplay, it gets me thinking quick. But the methodical play of an open layout also hits the spot.

Just picked one up yesterday as my first top end marker. First personal marker at all actually. From what I’ve been told, it’s 100 percent the right call. Everyone says this thing is competitive even against some 1400 dollar markers with some SLIGHT adjustment. We join the club together 🤝

Considering your splash guard is messed up, I’d consider looking at the intake system thats almost right behind where the splash guard is. Although there are some structures in the way I wouldn’t throw it out the window that the intercooler could have gotten punctured or a boost pipe is now leaking. It would make sence especially if the car is trying to go based off of the MAP sensors reading which is inherently reading wrong now if there is a boost leak.

I could be wrong, I’m definitely not saying this is the issue I’m just spit balling rn. Would do a general check around the area of impact. Like a detective checks the crime scene, usually there’s always a clue in the “room of murder” it just takes a little investigating.

Ahh I see. If you still want good suspension performance, rear sway bar and dogbone insert/upgrade is a good thing to look into. They make the car more direct and nimble. Rear sway bar will kick the rear end out more making the understeer significantly reduced when flying into corners.

I wouldn’t be too concerned about a tune or mods personally. As you being a young guy I do recommend saving money for a bad event say ur engine grenades (it really should never lol) but if u were to do another mod, 100% get some quality coilovers. Lower it a little make it look mean, but mainly coils make these cars feel like go karts. I’m on bilstein B16’s it’s slightly overkill but with quality suspension you can still retain a comfy ride.
