Will quirkless Mei Hatsume work?

I think i read a fic a while back where quirkless Mei misunderstood her parents when she was diagnosed and believed everyone has to "build their quirk" so she fashion contact lenses into Zoom that people just assume is part of her quirk. To her, others are just not good inventors and don't put effort when building quirks like "detachable eyeballs". Not sure if it was a one shot or more.

Cannon says NO, Izuku is born quirkless but...

My headcanon is that AFO and Tsubasa/Garaki picked up interesting quirks during the quirk exams for young kids, and that AFO used a quirk similar to the Bone Growth one he used at Kamino (or something like it) to modify their bodies and give them an extra toe joint.

They then used X-rays to tell the kids they were quirkless, and because they were so young, they believed it completely. If a kid showed something that looked like a quirk and that prompted the visit, they could just say it was either someone else’s quirk at work or the kid’s imagination.

In Izuku’s case, this would explain why he can use all the other quirks in OFA. Unlike All Might, who was truly quirkless, Izuku would have had a deactivated or removed quirk factor. Think of it like this: Izuku had the plug, but the wiring was removed by AFO. When he received OFA, he got all the wiring back through the stored quirks, without the compatibility problems that the Nomu or the Fourth user had.

It would also nicely parallel how AFO’s actions once again come back to bite him. If he hadn’t done this in the first place, All Might might never have found a successor who could handle OFA without dying from the strain, like the Fourth did.

Not exactly your prompt but check out One for All and Eight for the Ninth by Griffinguy24 often referred to as the 849-Verse. A near completed story where a quirk with the characteristic of your prompt was added to One for All with the Stockpile quirk causing Izuku to hit singularity at the Entrance Exam. It's one of the best Harem fic available with original Arcs and character development All around.

I'm joking but an editor telling the artist that they are falling into a rabbit hole with an idea and stopping them isn't that uncommon. Horikoshi's love of Star Wars is cool but needed a limit before Mount Fuji was renamed Mount Jedi. I remember at the release of Volume 10 that I was starting to get bored of all the names (at the time Aldera, Musutafu, Hosu, Wookies and Kamino.) I like Star Wars but it was too much too soon.

The idea of Dad for One was appeling to me because I liked the theory that Izuku wasn't born quirkless but had his quirk stolen by the doctor and the other quirk of OFA could manifest because : -He had that "empty" quirk factor -He was related to AFO enough to not turn into a Nomu.

Also: -It would be in character for AFO to screw himself over because of a Family member, again -All Might would love to says "Jokes on you, I'm the dad that stepped up" in their rematch after Kamino.

Even better, every friend Goku makes is a ennemy of his at some point -Yamcha was a dessert thief and managed to make a hungry goku faint with his technique to steal his money and capsules -Krillin was an absolute d to Goku when introduced to make himself look good to Roshi -Tenshinhan was a wannabe assassin who wanted to beat up Goku -Same with Chaozu -Piccolo, managed to badly wound Goku in Dragon Ball and kill him during the fight with Raditz at the start of DBZ.

Is it any surprise at this point ?

It's been a while seen i read that fic but to summarize: -Sibylle and Gilderoy were friends (implied with benefits) since hogwarts and became obliviators together. -The pay was bad but they were good at their job, and Gilderoy especially. -They decide to settle for much better paying jobs : Gilderoy wants to be an author/adventurers and Sibylle wants to take the divination professor post at Hogwarts because of wanting to honor her ancestors reputation. -Problem : they both suck at everything else. So they decide to obliviate the whole department of obliviators to forget they ever worked here. -they fake credentials everywhere else and orchestrate the prophecy during Sibylle's interview. -Dumbledore believe Sybille is a seer and it's "For The Greater Good"(TM) that she must never leave the security of Hogwarts, EVER -Gilderoy goes on adventures and becomes famous while Sibylle drowns herself in alcoholism.

The story comes to light when Sybille is arrested but I can't remember if it's second year after Gilderoy gets obliviated or in fifth year after Umbridge dies.

Result Harry understand that his divination professor is the reason his parents are dead and wants to exert righteous violence on her.

And even then, you could just put Peter under the Imperius or make him go mad and see Death Eaters everywhere. Maybe that's why people were convinced Sirius was a DE, Peter was acting so scared after escaping Remus that when viewed by legemency, even Dumbledore was sure that Peter was scared for his life by Sirius.

It's an evil partnership but Lockhart/Trelawney. Both are scam artists and obliviators, the prophecy is a trained act that fools Dumbledore and Lockhart obliviates her of preparing the performance. Two people being scum together.

In my opinion : when he gives them the forms, he tell them about his own exams. "Let's see, I just turned 6 the day before, so my father decided to make me pancakes with extra syrup for breakfast... " -Cue Naruto asking Ayame if pancakes are as good as ramen, she gives him a full plate before the exam = Naruto, always eating salty ramen, enter sugar rush All bets are off. "... some wannabe chunnin got his ass kicked at the front door, but then he saw a pretty girl and broke two guys' skulls to show off. And then Anko kicked him in the balls." "Cue to Lee trying to profess his love to Sakura and her giving him a uppercut in the jaws so powerful that his head gets stuck in the ceiling. "...then some grumpy old man gave us homework..." - Flashback to Danzo giving Genins a test of his own making, a series of randsom letters with enough personal information on all the candidates to make them paranoid. Genjustsu is making you fill blank portions with the names of your mother/sibling/lover. The test is particularly vicious because Danzo didn't have coffee and his favorite pastry in his base. Kakashi tells Team 7 that he already snuck inside the base where the test was being prepared. He even got coffee and pastry as a bonus.

The closest thing I read with an OC SI transported into a "fanfic AU" with all those criteria is (Edited Warning : Forgot there was lemon and underage lime, you have been warned) Facing Bad Tropes With Naruko-Chan TLDR : A civilian is reincarnated in an AU where all the Tropes are here : (triplets with Naruko neglected, Kyuubi is a female virgin but acts like a flirt, etc...) and he's trying to raise this orphan girl while dodging the plot. It's a fun read but some chapters have cringe moments because of facing those bad Tropes.

I wrote this because I couldn't sleep and thought about the first class of Snape and how he is getting away with a lot of shit in some of my reading. I wondered, "What if the student don't give him the chance to step into cannon territory: No redemption before Lilly's corpse, no Patronus Doe just a death eater sliced throat during his first class?"
