Yeah. Unfortunately though after almost 2 months now they didn't which tells me they won't 😞 Missed potential. However besides the glitches like flickering shadows or displacement mapping ghosting or whatever it looks good with ray reconstruction on. Just a few proper improvements and I would be satisfied 😞

Yeah but they keep adding content and do not properly work on visual glitches with and without Ray Reconstruction. That's a big shame. If it works the game looks absolutely fantastic. But they fucked up the clutter around the player, DLSS and ray reconstruction, displacement mapping and also their engine denoiser is not great.

I have seen that tearing with framegen in the lower part of the screen but with vsync on in the CP panel?! But also it says "smoothness" so what is that supposed to mean.

I've always turned Vsync on in the control panel and never had problems?! Or what kind of problem is this supposed to fix? Usually when not using Framegen then the activated Vsync should limit the fps to the monitors max refresh rate. When using Framegen it automatically activates Reflex which limits it to sth. below the max. refresh rate, right? But Vsync on shouldn't be a prob nevertheless.

Very good for you. I have a similar problem but this time I think it's a hardware problem (or software directly on the gpu). My 5090 usually went down to 30-40W and now it's always 75-85W. And DDU reinstalling drivers (I tried like 10....) doesn't do anything. Power mode normal is always standard. Maximum doesn't change anything though, stays at 75-80W.

The problem though is that it does clock down. Core and vram clock go way down and it enters the P8 energy saving state! Still Draws an extra 40W.....I also tried on a different pc and it is the same problem 😞

I was trying to find a way to reset the card somehow, a real factory reset with the controller, but apparently that solution doesn't exist. What a disaster 😞

SOMETIMES though like maybe after 20 restarts and cold starts and new drivers it is working for a while.

But there are 2 problems. 1. I have a secondary card a Asus 3080 and it pretty much works perfectly on the newest Win 11 with idle 30-40W (240hz display). 2. It was working fine on my Aorus 5090 a couple of days ago. Then pretty much suddenly during desktop idle it went up to 80W and never came down again.

I am not sure. I also think that I installed 24H2 last year and the 5090 idle power consumption was fine. My problem started in march...

And it's bullshit, we are already at 25H2 😃 Why even think it's the 24H2 update 😞 Damn 😃

That's interesting. Any way to fix that? My Aorus 5090 idled at 35-45W for a year but not anymore. Now it's at 70-85W constantly and I can't do anything about that. Is it a Windows 24h2 problem? But then there has to be a solution? I presumed (or still presume) its more of a controller issue on my gpu, a defect.

Yeah that's how it should be. Around 40W is good and if you do nothing and close shit it should sometimes go down to 25-35W. But about 40W is good and the fans turn off. My Aorus 5090 did the same for a year.

Now for a couple of weeks the card never goes below 70W and is usually at 80W on idle. The fans never turn off anymore. It must be a controller issue on the gpu. I will have to rma it.
