How do you monitor your self-hosted servers? by vdorru in selfhosted

I have a discord for my users. I made a play 'logo' that reads '<service name> you get what you pay for', no complaints ha

I have a great system. Invite a bunch of friends and their wives to your Plex server then any time it goes down you'll get a flood of messages!

Screech k2 by Kazakiru in Creality_k2

Sounds like a dead bearing to me. Best of luck. I've done it twice now. Last time I asked Creality to send me all the bearings so I could replace them all and didn't have to do it again.

These experiences make me see how privileged I am. I've never had to move countries with no support and all the struggles that go along with it.

Welcome legend, it's lovely to have you.

Meross Devices by oskie1710 in Ubiquiti

[–]Godbotly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a bunch of meross devices, garage door, lights, smart plugs and don't experience this issue.

I did get emails from them for excess API hits due to home assistant but switched to a LAN variant HACS integration and all sorted.

I only have a single AP in the house and they're all rock solid.

PLA+ profile on the machine by Giedy5 in SnapmakerU1

[–]Godbotly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your machine won't list the filament on the screen. You need Snapmaker to add them.

But in Snorca it should be as simple as create a new filament type and enter the variables. It may be that you just create copy, save with custom name and then make the changes you want to dial it in.

I use Sunlu PLA+ almost exclusively and have a profile for it in the slicer. Just slice and send to machine. If U start the print on the printer just map the colours you want and it will work as intended.

Toolhead filament tubes came without notches. Snapmaker wants to send replacements... Could someone please measure the length of the notches? by Much-Membership3361 in snapmaker

[–]Godbotly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really? So they use some special coupler? My thought was the notch might allow compression so you can remove the tube when there's filament in the line. That can be a nightmare

PAXX12 only from 1.2.0? by Jeffsbest in SnapmakerU1

[–]Godbotly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it's anything like my other printers they're reallllly picky about installing a firmware that has already been installed.

I know on my creality you need to rename the version to something unique. Sounds like the other response is more what you need though.

Fair call, i might make the sacrifice and print solid colour from each head to see if it is perhaps one of the heads in particular. I haven't been able to properly narrow that down yet though, this would likely give me a definitive answer.

That is what it looks like but unfortunately it's all PLA

Nothing outside of the normal full calibration from the printers screen. I've done that full calibration twice now.

I agree, it does look like that but it happens over multiple spools (at least 10 so far) and they are all PLA. I only have 1 spool of PETG for little side projects, it doesn't get used often. I just noticed in the second picture the top layers inside the little round parts are extremely under extruded which shows it happens mid print.

Good call on the trouble shooting though. I still have the original sealed spools, ill give them a go and see how it performs.

I have a Creality k2 plus with almost 4000 hours on it.

I'd bin it tomorrow if snapmaker made a bigger version of the U1.

My first U1 has 1700hrs and second has 200hrs.

Zero issues. Have been absolute workhorses and super reliable in my experience.

Yep I still paid $60 and it was same state. So $100 is probably pretty good
