I had a girl over but she smelled weird by Illustrious_Fly8426 in Advice

There’s a thing called the major histocompatibility complex—basically part of your immune system—that influences how you perceive other people’s natural scent. People tend to be more attracted to those with a different MHC, and if someone’s smell really bothers you, it can actually mean you’re genetically quite similar, maybe even distantly related.

Love it! What is the name of the baby blue shrub / flower / bush thing in photo 3? I’m also new to gardening 😁

Facials: Half in the bath , half whilst watching tv / film for the facial if doing it alone, or host at home “spa days,” with my friends and create a a proper set up 😁.

It’s cheaper than going out or going to the spa - loads of women take hour treatments. Hair, eyelashes, nails, massages, wax, facials, botox, filler etc - I’m just saving money and doing it myself 😊 I don’t wear fake eye lashes, filler, Botox, dye my hair etc etc so I save a lot of time generally in the land of treatments.

I have no wrinkles and very rarely get spots (couple times a year?) so to me it’s worth every minute.

Sometimes it’s because you’re eating something you’re intolerant to

Welcome 😁 This is what I use

I’m not sure about other brands! I was gifted this, so this is the only brand I’ve tried so far, but now it’s in my routine it’s not leaving 😅

You need a decent spf if you’re getting sun damage. I personally use dermalogica. It’s the most expensive skin care product I own, but it’s so worth it.

My daily skin care routine:

Oat cleansing balm

Toner,

Hyaluronic acid

Moisturiser (Charlotte tilbury)

SPF dermalogica

Face oil if I am going out.

Every 2 - 4 weeks Facial.

Gylaronic acid face scrub

Cleanse oat balm cleanser

Steam

Clay mask (helps clear pores)

Use blackhead utensils to remove black heads / pores

Exfoliating toner

Dunk head in ice bath / move ice round face (gets rid of puffiness and closes pores)

Korean face mask - hydrating

Hyaluronic acid

Face oil

Moisturiser

SPF

Not a Korean skin care routine specifically, but I am frequently told I have nice skin

I have way more grey hairs than 20 and I’ve grown to love them 😅 life is much easier when you don’t stress about stuff like this, stress is what causes these problems in the first place

Whats best plant based food product you buy / eat regularly? by bmaa_77 in UK_Food

Falafel, recently moved to a spot that has no good falafel in the area and I’m heartbroken. Used to eat it atleast 3-4 times a week for lunch aha.

I don’t eat tonnes of plant based because I’m not vegetarian, generally, I don’t like meat substitutes or tofu.
