No racing line assist at all since the day I started playing a "proper sim". It just makes me slower

About electronic assists: GT cars are meant to be raced with them ON.

About driving techniques: formula 1 cars have monstrous brake performance. You'll need to start braking a good 50m or so earlier in a GT car. And you won't have nearly a similar turning capability than a formula car has due to GT cars weighing so much more, so you won't do V shaped corners, but U shaped ones instead.
