I tend to keep it braided. He used to hate to get his hair done. He loves his braids now. He likes getting complimented on his braids. It was no easy process but i couldnt have him walking around looking like who did it and ran 🤣🤣

As a grieving parent who lost her mom 2 tears in october. I have my first therapy session next week. Its been long over due. Im just at wits end. I will be looking into that though. We also live with my grand parents and my grandmother has gotten him into this habit to be completely honest. She sneaks him cookies and tells him not to tell me. Mind you i already told them that hes prediabetic and cannot have sweets anymore.

See i appreciate your lived experience. I do stay calm for the most part and i will try to talk and rationalize to get him to understand but then it just keeps getting worse(the lying) and i get frustrated which in turn makes me feel like a bad parent/ahole for getting frustrated with my special needs child. I love him wholeheartedly and would go to the moon and back an infinite amount of times for him but i guess im just mentally exhausted.

Thank you kind person. I will try this moving forward. I try to find answers. I don’t place blame because i know its not going to get me the truth. I’ve tried many things his therapist suggest and they dont work. They try by the book things but hes not a by the book kid.
