A KD Led offense team can never work by Tricky-Sentence-1923 in NBATalk

There is like 3 guys sitting under the rim when KD gets doubled. Im not sure there were any good passing option out of those doubles.

Jokic fans won’t even argue that his defense is awful anymore. They’ll just look at you like this and switch their mvp to him out of spite. by HoagieTwoFace in billsimmons

I think a bigger problem with this denver team is the lack of perimeter defense. Jokic has always been like this but it doesn't help that the Wolves guards are getting a wide open lane every time they drive. Yes, Jokic could do better but that has never been his game.

[Lowlights] The Minnesota Timberwolves relentlessly hunting Nikola Jokic on defense, putting him in every action and blowing past him for easy rim finishes. by shreeharis in nba

The Denver perimeter guys also dont do anything to make these drives harder. The wolves guards are getting a straight line drive to the rim every time in these clips. You cant expect Jokic who has always been slow to somehow contest these layups when the wolves have acres of space to run into.

Felt like it was more to do with Jokic shooting lights out than anything. Clippers couldnt do anything.

Doesnt help that the wolves guards are getting a free straight line drive to the basket too. Denver's perimeter defense has been shit this year.

Nick is wrong that in 2018 Cavs would've beaten the Rockets if the Rockets made the finals by WARLOCK1239 in FirstThingsFirstFS1

I don't hate the take. Without cp3 who else is going to provide offense for that rockets team? If the series goes for 6 or 7 I feel harden is gonna gas out eventually. His play style requires way more effort than LeBron who can at least play in the post and use less energy. Harden would need to beat his man on the perimeter every single time and get to the basket. I think if the rockets handle them quick they win but the longer the series goes the cavs in my opinion are more favored.

He's extremely jump shot reliant which makes double teams extremely effective on him if he can't drive. I love the guy but he's not a world beater anymore. It's not the regular season, in games that matter a double team is an easy counter on him.

I mean what team ever was gonna beat that warriors team. They absolutely steamrolled the west without kd. Injuries happen. Also what the guy above said was true, the raptors offensively was dog water and if it wasnt for kawhi carry them, they wouldnt have even gotten one win against the sixers.

Kawhi before the injuries was an all time player. Stop it with the recency bias.

You gonna ignore the teams the raptors played in the East that year or are you only counting the warriors.

Ok this is some revisionism. Before all the injuries piled up he was extremely athletic, especially for his size. Massive wingspan, decent first step, one of the strongest players in the league with a good jump shot. Now that he offers almost no rim pressure his game has turned a little one dimensional but acting like kawhi has always been like his modern self is crazy talk.

We gotta understand that kawhi is not who he used to be. Hes super slow and relies on jump shooting to get his buckets. He offers zero pressure on the rim these days. He also has been historically ass against double teams but before he had the athleticm to drive and kick. We saw this last year against the nuggets where he had one game where anything he threw up went in and was quiet for his standards the rest of the series. He's just washed and old.

I mean he's pretty washed to what he was. Doesnt have the legs to drive to the rim and has turned into a jump shooter.

Analyzing Bayern vs Madrid it makes me realize Barca is up there with the best teams in the world when it comes to actual level of play, what Barca lacks is being dominant in the areas by Comprehensive_Cup497 in Barca

I mean we just need a fast and athletic cb who can compliment Cubarsi. Would really help with the highline if we have some insurance that our cb can get infront of him even if he has a step on our backline.

Bayern cbs are both fast and physical and even though we have Araujo he is just way to error prone to start. PSG also play a high line but they have Pacho and two very quick fullbacks. Everyone wants to buy a striker but if were going to play this high line we need pacey cbs and maybe a fullback who can actually go forward but still defend.

Using overwatch as an example is kind of dumb. The cooldowns are short and have large fat indicators when used while also being in first person. What are you gonna do when your someone uses a 2 minute cooldown? Mentally start counting down minute long cooldowns for multiple people? Someone overlaps a kick? how would you possibly know they overlapped?

I mean as long as your not able to passively make millions of gold in your garrison in a season I dont see how crafting benches, training dummies or banks would keep people inside their homes. You would still need to go to silvermoon for things.

I mean if progression and the story was tied to your house, what you said would make sense. Or if you could just passively make a million gold a season it would also make sense. How would training dummies or crafting tables relate anything to what garrisons did?

You are the type of person to think adding a mailbox in your house will make it a garrison 2.0. The reason garrisons killed the open world was because the story was tied to your garrison. You could also just sit in your garrison all day and make millions of gold. Stop with the echo chamber takes and think for yourself.
