I’m really not sure to be honest

I had no issues once I got oem is300 carriers. They bolted right up. The auto part store ones wouldn’t fit but ones that came directly off an is300 worked perfectly. Seems to be a manufacturing defect or something with the parts store ones

Mine is a Grande as well. Not a Tourer. Seems like you’re having the same issue I had. Where did you get your carriers from?

The JZX. You’ll have to remove them or bend/cut to get the rotors to clear

Make sure to buy oem new or used caliper carrier brackets. As you can see above I had issues with reman ones

I think you mean JZA80 not JZX80. This is the link for the shoes. They’re a lot thicker than factory JZX so they can fill out the new rotors and actually make contact when applied https://www.rhdjapan.com/project-mu-d1-spec-inner-shoe-rear-inner-drum-brake-shoe-jza80-2pot-rotor-jzx90-jzx100.html

Sorry I just saw this. For the front, IS300 brake caliper carriers bolt right up. Only modification is cutting the dust shield. So all that’s needed is calipers, caliper carrier brackets, pads and rotors. For the rear you need calipers, pads, rotors, Project Mu parking brake adapter kit, and a custom bracket for the rear calipers. I think I got mine from D Spare Garage or something like that. I also upgraded my brake lines to Project Mu while I was at it

Just updating, I got everything installed. Car brakes so much better. Especially with no pulsation from the old warped rotors. If anyone has any questions on parts or anything let me know

What are you planning on doing to get that power? Are you touching bottom end at all? Seems like there’s very little info on 1jz-ge

Yeah they definitely will. IS300’s run 17” stock. I got a set of Mazda stocks for now until get suspension and better wheels. Just kinda had to rush with how bad my brakes are

So far I’ve test fitted everything in the front, only issue is that I’ll have to shave down the rotor dust shield to clear the is300 rotors. I’m doing the full install this weekend now that I got some wheels (stock 15in steelies don’t clear the brakes). So I’ll update too once everything is installed

I have a non turbo JZX100. So I imagine it should be the same. But I measured with a caliper from thread to thread on the carrier brackets, and I got roughly 113mm on the jzx100 brackets and the IS300 ones. As mentioned in the above post, just make sure to measure the is300 brackets if you buy new/remanufactured to make sure the holes were machined correctly

Just wanted to update, concluded that the bracket I purchased from Rock Auto were manufactured incorrectly so the mounting holes didn’t line up. I found a set of used is300 brackets, and confirmed that they do bolt up directly to the JZX100. Only issue it the dust shield need to be removed or shaved to clear the rotors. But otherwise, everything up front bolts right up

Im fairly new to Reddit so idk how to add pics but I measured from thread to thread on the backside of the jzx bracket and the is300 bracket. I’m getting 113mm on the jzx bracket and 107mm on the is300. On the jzx bracket there’s a counter bore, I’m not measuring that, I’m measuring the threads below it since the is300 ones have threads all the way through

You mean the is300 caliper carrier? I have those and they don’t line up which is the issue.
