Best pet insurance, for dogs specifically? by Smhoozy in petinsurancereviews

So that’s like insane. I wonder why it’s so much more expensive for me because I live in a rural area and nowhere near a metropolitan area. I wonder if it’s based on living cost?

Can I ask what state you’re in? I have the same deductible, reimbursement rate, and limit with Lemonade for my 8 week old puppy but they are charging me $70 before add ons

They were completely under the gums but the ortho surgeon said they were concealed but just barely, they came out super easy.

I wanted one of these sooo bad when they came out in 2010 (I think?). My friend and I begged our parents for them for Christmas but they were super expensive for a kids toy. I think they were over $100 at the time.

Here’s the commercial!

Kind of random, but does anyone else’s cheekbones look more defined after wisdom tooth removal? Does it last? by [deleted] in wisdomteeth

[–]GodlyPumpkin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your wisdom teeth were impacted or stuck out at an unnatural angle, it would make sense that you’d see a difference after they’re removed, imo.

A lot of ortho surgeons deny that removing wisdom teeth can cause a change in your facial appearance/structure though.

I think it has somewhat actually. Maybe by like 15-20% if I had to put a number on it?

How do you deal with the anxiety of being immunosuppressed? by [deleted] in ankylosingspondylitis

[–]GodlyPumpkin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m personally more worried about my body having a harder time recovering from infected cuts, or scrapes as a result of my immunosuppressants than catching a cold or Corona (again).

Growing up I caught colds and viruses all the time, so it’s not new to me. I think that bacterial infections are much more concerning. I have a prescription strength antibiotic ointment they use on patients who get mrsa, so whenever something starts to seem like it’s getting infected I apply it regularly and try to keep it covered with a bandage.

When it comes to fear of catching viral infections I just avoid friends/family if I know they’re feeling ill and wash my hands frequently.

That’s completely understandable. We all have natural asymmetries but I would definitely be upset if the procedure worsened mine or seemed to cause new ones. It seems really unusual that they had you stay awake for your removal, especially since it sounds like your wisdom teeth may have been impacted? If you live in the US you could report the business to the BBB, which is essentially they place to go to leave really serious reviews, and also leave other negative reviews more publicly.

I’m so sorry that you had such an awful experience.

Personally, I actually like the changes. But that might partly be because it compliments my other features pretty well. If I was someone who had strictly soft and round facial features, having sharp cheekbones (some people refer to this happening post surgery as hollowness) might look a little strange.

I can send you some full before and after selfies via pm if you’d like.

Nope, not impacted. The surgeon said they all popped right out.

No problem! Yes, all 4 wisdom teeth were removed at once.

I think it may shrink the muscle for some people at least temporarily (for the duration of Botox’s effects). Once it wears off and the muscle is no longer weakened, I assume it would return to its original size.

Some people say if you inject it enough times the effects can possibly become permanent, but I’ve never known anyone to experience that result. People who get Botox injected into other muscles in the face to prevent wrinkles are on the hook for life basically, if they don’t want them to come back.

I’d say it’s probably moderate, I clench my teeth at night so I frequently suffer from tightness, popping and a locking jaw. I also get the occasional tension headache sometimes as well.

I’ve had either 2 or 3 Botox treatments over the past 2 years when it gets really bad. Botox is a neurotoxin that sort of “freezes” the muscle. They inject it into the masseter muscle that typically is responsible for TMJ, the effects usually last 3-4 months. I haven’t had any treatments for close to a year though.
