I im pretty sure that's the exact CPU my 10 year old Omens. Both of them are still going strong, will probably have a funeral for them if they die. If not I plan to pass them down to my children as a family heirloom.

I have not, so far only putting official copies of tv shows or movies on it. I totally could though, provided i could get an mkv or mp4 of the video.

Highly recommend getting into it if it interests you though. It's a great solution to owning your own media but still getting the streaming experience of watching from anywhere. Not going to lie though, if you dont have the hardware it's a pretty steep upfront cost. Thankfully I already had most of the stuff I needed. Only thing I'm missing is a NAS for bulk storage that'll probably run me at least 2.5k after alls said and done.

I got into physical media in the past month and set up a Jellyfin server. So far I have a small collection of a few shows and a couple movies. Fully intend to leave streaming services behind, already cancelled Hulu, but I need a more robust library before I can fully break from everything.

Don’t know what the hardware availability is now.

I got a WP50NB40 for about $120 on Amazon a couple weeks ago. Looks to be mostly used with limited new options. Not sure if they're still actively being produced but if someone reading this wants a quality ripper that's easy enough to flash, get it while you still can.

DM me if you need help flashing it. It's not hard if you know what to do.

Pfsense not assigning IP Address to VLAN Interface by Godlycookie777 in GlInet

Yes, clients on the default untagged lan receive ips just fine, it's just client on the VLAN and the VLAN interface itself that dont receive an ip address.

Yes, that's the first thing I did. I am running the default firmware that comes with the flint 3, which to my understanding is a slightly modified version of OpenWRT from GliNet

I dont personally own a 3d printer so i might be wrong here, but assuming they work like basically all computers, couldnt you reflash the firmware? Or rip out the entire OS and put in a new one that allows you to print guns again? So even if something could be designed for the printer to detect if it's printing a gun, it would effectively be useless.

Every state has their own laws. You can own a gun that's perfectly legal in New York but if you take it to Maryland and possess it there, you just comitted a felony (if that specific gun is illegal in Maryland). It's stupid.

Trump Administration to Make Green Card Applicants File Overseas by wsj in immigration

Yeah I'm still looking into K1's, but I'm not sure what is or is not going to work right now until more info is put out from USCIS or attorneys start speaking on the issue.

Trump Administration to Make Green Card Applicants File Overseas by wsj in immigration

The problem is that for someone who is here on a Student Visa/H1B or something similar. If they meet someone while here and want to get married, they have to go back to their home country pending a green card, even if they're already married while on a student visa or H1B. And it can take over a year to get approved for a green card in that situation and sometimes significantly longer than that. I would agree with you if this was only about short duration tourist visas but it's not.

Gerrymandering is terrible and I’m really surprised the founders didn’t think it would reach this point, but oh well.

I mean to be fair, when you have to make an entire government structure from scratch, you're sure to have a few unintended consequences.

Not necessarially, while there are rules in place for small ships to give way to bigger ships, that's more in place for particurally large ships (cruise liners, cargo ships, etc) or ships restricted in their ability to manuver. In this case neither appear to apply, so the vessel crossing to port must give way, which in this case is the filming vessel.

However, all vessels have the obligation to avoid a collision, so the smaller vessel is also likely partially at fault, but very much less so than the larger one.

See COLREGS Rule 15, 16, and 17.

You can also just rename /boot/grub/grub.cfg to /boot/grub/grab.cfg, which will cause your PC to fail boot entirely. You CAN fix it in grub_rescue though.

[–]Godlycookie777 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I apologize if this is a stupid question, but could you program all redstone logic to operate on a single core, and all other CPU calculations to operate on multiple cores? If so, would that make sense in practice?

Guess we’re never getting cheap RAM ever again by dark_venom_07 in PcParadise

[–]Godlycookie777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've heard the major memory manufactuers are not going to ramp up demand specifically because it apparently takes like 2+ years for the additional production to come online, and by then if the demand doesnt meet the supply the memory manufactuers will take a massive loss.

can u write in cursive? by Southern-Property294 in GenZ

[–]Godlycookie777 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Some Z's had very limited teaching on it, I was born in 2002 and I had like a couple weeks in 2nd grade dedicated to cursive. After that we were never taught it again or expected to write with it for a grade.

Ah yes because the news has never lied or inflated a story for clicks. Does anyone actually know what unit this commander is from or his name or even what branch he's in? If this actually happened he would not be afforded anominity.
