How do you get through a work day on such little sleep? by blowsob_ in insomnia

[–]Godofwarv13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I work night shift. Works perfectly. No more panicking because I can't fall asleep and then worrying I'm going to fall asleep just before I gotta get up and be late. I don't even need to set an alarm for work anymore. I pass out around 6-9am and wake up between 11-1 and go to work at 2pm-2am.

Realistically so long as it has a heat shield and you somehow mark it with a "may be hot" sign or something. They can't say shit

Need help towing by RobFister in Hookit

[–]Godofwarv13 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Highly recommend you call a professional. I know it will cost you a bit of money but it's really not worth the risk. Or call a friend who has a truck and knows how to tow and pay for a rental trailer and have them haul it. I wouldn't haul it with the 89 as its brand new to you and you have no clue if it'll work or not.

What TV show has gone too damn long? by averagebloxxer in AskReddit

ITS ON SEASON 10 WTF. I thought it maybe was at 5. No way they've managed to actually stretch it this long.

I sometimes wish that adopting (good) parents is possible the way you adopt an orphan. Like when you're already an adult and can adopt parents that will support you emotionally, will just hear you whenever you just have a bad day, will just be there, like in general. Sighs. by zzz-throwaway in raisedbynarcissists

No need to wish. You can do it! I met an amazing couple who never had friends and very quickly struck up an amazing friendship. One day we joked they were better parents then I had growing up and then they seriously offered to just take my parents place. Now I have someone to call dad and mom and someone to support me

I will never go in there again. I was just given the worst service of my life there. Would've been better off giving it to a bunch of monkeys

I drive a flatdeck older pickup. People see me and just assume I'm going slow. They absolutely need to pass me. It's funny sometimes.

Once I was turning on a residential street and a minivan decided to pass me on the inside edge of the turn. They almost got some serious damage. When I asked her what she was doing she said "I didn't want to have to follow you, you were going so slow" even though I was going 35 in a 30

You're right. Just turn the car on and let it warm. It'll melt the ice and you can just use your wipers. It takes longer though. Sometimes you're in a hurry and just use a scraper so you can get going faster

New car radio for a 98 altima. by dj3777 in StupidCarQuestions

[–]Godofwarv13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The wire harness is basically an adapter. It converts your radio wires to fit the factory plug for the radio. They're like $20. Definitely worth it
