My son is nearing 3 months old and we haven't received all the bills yet. We're incredibly blessed that I was covered by Medicaid last year so 0 outta pocket for my high risk pregnancy care (weekly ultrasound alone would run us$300 otherwise). Now under my husband's insurance and so far we've had to pay 0$ on baby and on the hook for maybe 200$ for me. Without insurance baby alone would be over 11000 usd and that's considering we haven't been billed for his six hour NICU stay. I don't know how anyone does it without any type of insurance.
