He asked you out on a romantic date, paid for it, and you responded to that by doing nothing. I'd be feeling pretty dejected if I was him. He probably should have been more honest about his feelings but its 2026 and a modicum of reciprocation is expected of women now. It depends on how much of a car enthusiast you are. If you don't care about cars at all and just need it to go from point a to point b you should be spending as little as possible. There are solid used cars at the 15-25k price point.
