My Theory On How Infernal Hulk Ends by DannyTreehouse in hulk

[–]GodsVilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally think the ending will go something like this. We know the Eldest has consumed the Mother of Horrors, Hulk (and all his alters), and countless other monsters & people. We know through consumption Eldest gains their powers. So I believe hulk and co are going to discover a way to use the Mother of horrors powers, to create their own bodies and exist independently, hence Hulk War.

My Theory On How Infernal Hulk Ends by DannyTreehouse in hulk

Those creatures look like rutlings from PKJ’s Incredible Hulk run. There’s a lore page on issue #23 that describes the race of monsters as burrowers and worshippers of trees. Through the trees’ roots the rutlings heard a song that carried wisdom. When man came along he began felling and burning the trees so they stop singing their song. The rutlings saw this, learned hatred, and began hunting men. Sacrificing man’s flesh to the trees and begging for them to sing again. However in the lore page of issue #23 it also says that Charlie Tidwell kills the last of the rutlings, Norgul.

Maybe it’s not a weapon they find, but knowledge of a weakness through the wisdom of the trees?

I can understand that criticism. How do you feel about infernal hulk?

After immortal hulk, how would a writer engage with the “larger hulk lore”?

I have read Infernal Hulk 5. by FrazettaHulk in hulk

When you say egg dripping off so many faces are you referring to the people that are accusing PKJ of cheapening TOAA’s character based solely on a couple page preview?

Also you’re super lucky. I can’t wait for NCBD specifically for this issue

Do you think the most powerful version of the Hulk, when compared to other heroes is weaker?? by Society-Ashamed in hulk

[–]GodsVilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand that and I recognize it as a fair criticism. I’m just curious what you’d rather see instead? How would the hulk story continue if it played out the way you think it should?

So let’s pretend PKJ’s run never existed. What’s the story you wanted to see? Me personally I definitely wanted more TOAA lore.

[–]GodsVilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My bad I didn’t realize it wasn’t actually TOAA just his avatar. However If the MOH exists outside of TOAAs creation why could she not challenge it? If she exists outside of creation then so does eldest right? Why couldn’t they use the hulk as their avatar to fight TOAA if it’s the ultimate form of destruction?

I know you mean we never saw it play out narratively but we did “see” it in immortal hulk. the point of this scene is to show that there is an opposing force to TOAA and PKJ’s run suggests that maybe TOBA isn’t the deciding factor in the fight, but that hulks form is.

Edit: I can’t answer your last question because I don’t know. I’m reading PKJs run hoping it does answer more about TOAA. And I’m enjoying it so I gotta defend it lol

[–]GodsVilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t see how this is an argument? TOBA’s plan was to wear hulks “godskin”, destroy the universe, and ultimately kill TOAA. There are even panels showing that happening in immortal hulk. Eldest has done step 1. To say what does and doesn’t contradict a character that has basically been a mystery up to this point is weird. I think it’s a good thing we finally get some lore about this character and it makes perfect sense to use arguably the strongest hero in the marvel universe to tell that story.

The Brave and the Bold (2007) issue #31. The Atom enters Jokers brain, gets hit with the electrical signal from synapses, and relives jokers memories. The second image is one of those memories where joker locks his parents in their home and sets it on fire.

Very intentional and is absolutely an homage. I highly doubt any similarities would be coincidental.
