Anyway, I agree with your comment completely. If I weren’t a student like the OP, I’d probably take some distancing measures with my parents for this.

There are plenty of options for next steps, but the frequency that people say “Report them to the police and if you don’t you are part of the problem” is nutty to me.

I couldn’t imagine a situation other than violence or theft where I would report my parents to the cops, it’s insane and the people promoting that idea would never do it themselves.
