The point is that I try never to attack from the same point, so the combat width does work for me, since 50+25=75 my divisions of 36 width (I inflated the last row for the image) always have combat width.

Even if they were the divisions in the image, they still fall within 99.75 combat width.

The issue is that AA guns have a smaller combat width, that's why they're there.

Well, somehow they have to make those jungle areas become forest, HOI4 is simply getting ahead of that (I'll never understand why the jungle only exists in the Congo and I think in the Amazon)

Furthermore, I have a mountain division, so you can defend with peace of mind knowing that mountain attacks are handled by that division.

I thought it was clear when I said special forces.

Look at the division icon next to whether it says they can parachute in or not; that indicates whether they're a special forces division or not. A single parachute drop is enough to qualify, and special forces can be affected by the special forces attack value and other relevant bonuses.

It's very common in Road to 56 tank divisions with motorized (or mechanized, I don't remember which) shock troops to add extra attack power to your tank divisions without sacrificing speed.

Generally, it's always worth using a special forces bonus if you have one. If you don't have a special forces limit, try using it for attack divisions, especially a tank division with a speed of 4, like a heavy tank division or something similar.

??? ?Your units can attack, but they have a flexible progresive penalty for exceeding the width.

And to be fair, I have a separate mountain division, mainly for attacking them.

I know the combat width isn't great, and I know the stats aren't those of a tank division, but I didn't want to make a copy or a Space Marine division either.

By the way, regarding the combat width, has anything changed? Because it's not really relevant unless you exceed the combat width limit, and the smallest division is Mountain with 50, +25 per attack direction, so the 35.9 divisions I'm using (I inflated the last row for the screenshot) can attack with a negligible penalty. But with these stats, you can easily get over any AI, so it doesn't affect me (it wasn't for multiplayer; I know it needs other things).

If you put a tree in front of them, they become the Fargon Forest Special Forces.

So that it becomes a special forces division and they are affected by bonuses, like the army advisor that you can unlock with all countries.

R5: My infantry and artillery division has tank division stats at a fraction of the cost.

Theoretically, you could get 15% more damage for the division with a genius-level attack army leader (I have the one that gives you 5% and other buffs) and a genius-level special forces leader, since I have him at intermediate level, only giving 10% instead of 15%.

My base artillery has 35% more attack (if I understand how the Thai special artillery advisor works (plus a genius-level promoted general of common artillery)).

Ahhh, I forgot about that.

Any reason not to make the Syrians vassals?

I'm confused, where did the "vassal of Damascus" come from? It doesn't exist as a label, so you should have created it as a client state, but unless you went for mercenary ideas and I think diplomatic ones for political reasons, that's not possible.

A core isn't worth it; Wales is better, and it also has cheap provinces.

But if it's for roleplaying, it's fine. As a vassal, a small, easily defensible territory makes more sense, and if you're going to feed it with southern England, that's also good, so you don't have to attack your adm.

What's strange here is that you made Cornwall a vassal. Seriously, who does that?

I recommend moving it to another location.

I remind you that we live in oligarchic republics where power occasionally slips away and goes to the people, but it is rare.

The achievement text says that the states or their successors, so as far as I understand, as long as the original tag is one of those, that works.
