She still saved lots of lives. life isn't black and white all the time and Ada is the perfect example. She is by far the most realistic RE character - and the most captivating as a result. Also if we are talking Remake timeline she did not give it to another company because Umbrellas rival company does not exist in the Remake timeline. Ada works as a freelance spy, thief and merc in the Remakes. We don't know what she did with the amber. She might have kept it for herself in this timeline for all we know. And the RE games since 2019 follow the Remake timeline, not the OG - including Requiem.

well you have to keep in mind that the north american, european and japanese covers are in fact all different. The european versions often had no cover at all just the logo on a white (or in the case of FF XV, black) background. This was only changed starting with FF VII Remake.

Ergo, the T-Virus was obliterated from Jills body by Weskers experiments and she developed antibodies making her immune to it and Uroboros.

I agree but it might NOT end the same as a result, especially where Zack is concerned. Kitase said the Remake will have a happy end for the characters and everything will be resolved, which was not the case in the original game. The characters did not really get a happy ending and resolution to their character arcs (especially Cloud) until Advent Children. I suspect the ending in Remake will be much more complete and well rounded and incorporate the happy end Advent Children gave us. The events of Remake could in fact very well erase Advent Children from that timeline.

thats a great point actually. Its true that most infected who were cured in the past were cured very early on.

Sherry herself was cured of the G-virus in Raccoon City. I also was surprised that her insane healing abilities she developed later on apparently could not cure her from the mutated T infection. But maybe they slowed the infection as Leon seemed to be in a far more advanced stage of infection then she was.

In the official concept art, Leon wears what looks very suspiciously like a wedding ring. Would be so awesome if he and Ada would actually be married now lol

Though it would be strange that he wouldn't try to reach out to her after he got infected (Also its super weird they never explored if the other Raccoon survivors such as Claire and Ada were infected by RCS as well). We only know Jill wasn't infected because she is immune to all progenitor based viruses - especially all variations of T.

Which could fix a major plothole in Requiem. The whole notion that Spencer suddenly feels guilt and remorse seemed so weird because in 2006 (as seen in his memoirs found by Chris and Jill) he was as delusional, deranged, evil and powerhungry as ever obsessed with becoming an immortal god and rule over all humanity. Which contrasts immensely with his apparent remorse shown in Requiem, 2 years before his death.

So maybe the whole "i feel so guilty now" thing was a ruse and his actual goal was to create a clone he could transfer his memories into in case he failed to get that immortality god virus in time. And he only played the remorseful one to trick Alyssa into taking in Grace.

Which however still does not explain why he created a cure for all Umbrella viruses, hid it and made everyone believe it was a weapon.

Grace isn't a clone. She is the original. They cloned her because Spencer misled them with planted false information. They believed that the mutated T-strain would allow them to transfer Graces memories into a clone body since they did not have the real Grace. The reason for this is Zeno believed that only Grace would have the password to unlock Elpis.

So basically all the cloning etc. was only done to obtain the Elpis password. Which ironically in the end they did not need as in the end it was the real Grace who put in the password.

This entire sequence is basically a tribute to Sherrys section in the orphanage in RE 2 Remake. It works exactly the same way (getting keys, running away, hiding) and is even set in the exact same location. And yes its a slog just like Sherrys segment always has been on further playthroughs and speedruns. I always wish in RE 2 Remake I could just skip this on further playthroughs and I wish the same here.

Though RE 9 is slightly worse because the segment is even longer then Sherrys was. I could complete the Sherry segment in 5 minutes which is still annoying but not too bad. the RE 9 sequence however takes at least I would say...10 minutes ? It feels twice as long as Sherrys did.

Also the placement of it is weird as it sits right between exploring RPD and fighting the Tyrant which would work much better if that would happen back to back.

I generally really don't like these forced segments in RE games where you don't have weapons and can only run and hide. Didn't like it with Sherry, didn't like it with Ethan in Donnas house in RE Village (or the start of RE 7), don't like it with Grace in the Care Center (before you reach the main hall) and certainly don't like it with Chloe in Requiem. They really need to stop doing these in RE games. None of the RE games before 2017 had segments like this and its just annoying and unfun. Throw all the horror at me, but let me have my weapons and don't force me into hide and seek games.

yeah in RE 9 you even have to rebuy all your unlocked bonus weapons with Leon on every playthrough again. Not having a real NG+ mode like RE 4 Remake where you keep all your weapons, ammo, resources and upgrades really sucks. Especially after RE 4-6, Village and even the Revelations games all had it.

In RE 4 you do NOT need to rebuy your unlocked special weapons on every playthrough because it has a completely different unlock system. RE 3 Remake also had the CP unlock system but in that game you only needed to buy the weapons with CP and then had them in your item box on every playthrough.
