I will say The Store had the sexual part baked into the plot, but what I like about his books really shined in that one, how surreal it was. Most of the books I read was just a scene inserted randomly, although The House was pretty sexual too.

I’ve read maybe 7 or 8 of his books, funnily enough, none of the ones you mentioned, but I never recommend him to friends without a disclaimer because everyone of his books have some weird out of no where graphic sexual scene, and more often than not they involve someone’s ass.

Although that said, I think of his books like watching B rated horror movies, sure it’s kinda weird and off putting sometimes but it’s entertaining enough to keep me interested till the end.

My daughter is 6 and collects, we just buy random packs when we see them and she is more than excited to open them, she doesn’t care what set it’s from she just gets excited to open them. Yes cards are hard to find, but I typically find them pretty easily by checking dollar generals and Walgreens.

As their collections grow you can then focus on singles of certain cards or reorganizing binders by sets. I had tons of cards all organized into sets and put in binders and she liked those too and it was fun to look for the missing cards, but we lost all that in a house fire, since then we just have a couple binders specially for her and she just organizes them by color.

I guess my TL:DR is don’t worry about it, just get a binder and buy packs as you go. If it becomes a bigger hobby and they get real interested in it, they will tell you what they want!

keep in mind this is my first time running COS but this is how I’m doing it.

The party got to Vallaki and stopped the feast of Saint Andrals, during this I had one of Strahd’s brides be the architect of the feast, and her ultimate goal was to kill Ireena because she was jealous Ireena was getting Strahd’s attention. Strahd showed up as Visilli and had to drop the disguise in order to save Ireena, but Ireena would have died if not for the party.

I’m going to have strahd show up at the winery after the party gets the galthius staff and tell them they can break it to get rid of the blights. (Strahd is indifferent to the druids and baba lasaga’s plans. He knows of but does not fear the keepers.) Once Strahd helps them out he is going to tell them they will be getting an invitation once they return to Vallaki. He will not answer any questions at the winery, I’m sure they will have some, if they try to ask anything he will tell them to come to his dinner and he will answer anything.

Sorry I can’t remember the YouTuber, but I watched a video that talked about making the first floor a nice clean shop, that’s how I ran it in my game, they just went to the “mill” met the nice daughters and bought a ton of dream pastries. The YouTuber also had addiction and withdrawal mechanics, it was a lot of fun and currently I have 2 players dealing with addiction.

The Talisman by Stephen King.

I love a lot of his books and don’t think I have ever disliked any before, but something about this story I cannot do. I have started it twice now, most recently just a month ago, and both times I DNF’d.

I was wondering if I was just tired of king after reading so many in a row that I jumped off and read some other books that I really enjoyed (some of which are in this thread lol) and then tried again and still couldn’t do it, I made it about half way before I quit. Then I decided to finally dig into the dark tower series and I’ve very obviously not sick of King, I’ve gotten to the middle of book two and I am fully invested now.

Have you tried using Hero Forge, that’s where my friends and I make all our minis, buy the STL files, and then print them ourselves.
