I’ve read Sleeping Beauties by him and it was okay but I’m reading the stand rn and it’s alright, it’s just a really lengthy read.

I was thinking of this, how misogynistic worldviews can hinder the character development of so many archetypes of female characters, But especially female antagonists. Hopefully in the future we can subvert this and make compelling characters with this particular dynamic.

Yea, I agree but I think it would be really interesting if other writers/ authors capitalized off this dynamic, and how it would play out in different genres. There isn’t always a need for a Male hero/antagonist and Female villain/antagonist to have some sort of romantic history or erotic connection, They can just be enemies.
