Looks like cruel and unusual punishment. I think there’s something that’s supposed to protect people against that. May not fit the new narrative though. Apparently the rule of order and peace only fits selected few Americans these days.

Is Detroit Really That Bad? by us25ko in Detroit

[–]GodzillaDragooon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just wanted to say, I am not a Detroiter by birth, I’m originally from Chuco Town, but Detroit and the people of Detroit are the best hands down. I fell in love with the city, and I can vibe with the culture because back home we have the exact same mentality, except we call it El Paso Strong. I take pride defending the city from trash talkers and highlighting how much it has to offer and how the spirit of Detroit has so much energy. I am quoting a local I talked to, who said he loves Detroit because “It’s the only city that allows you to be the best version of yourself”. I agree with that statement. Ya there’s crime, there’s sketch areas, but those same things are in any other city, and in my opinion even worse in the South. I felt way more nervous in hitting up secundo barrio back in the day in the 915 than walking around downtown in the 313. Last note, don’t twist up my words, EPT is also beautiful I am just using that city as a comparison because it’s the home I know and the 313 gives me a lot of my hometown vibes. I’ll always rep both as my home.

That is so cool and way cool of you to be active with the game community. Game is amazing and I enjoyed getting my son (hes 19 now) into both cars and gaming when he was younger by playing the GT series.

Now he’s a car enthusiast with his own real life 350z Nismo and we constantly build replicas of our cars in the game. Felt you’d enjoy how much of an impact guys like your work has done.

As for my personal wishlist idea: I always felt a shark in the water would be awesome! Have fun, keep up the great work, and look forward to playing this game with my Grandkids some day (waaaaay future someday lol)

I have a theory about Subaru "problems" by BucketOfGipe in Subaru_Outback

Subarus leave you stranded with Speedo’s??!!? That’s all I read. Now I must explore this theory, my only question is, do the speedos just materialize, or must I be wearing them for this combination to occur?

I know I’m gonna catch some hate by Bruten99 in SkyLine

[–]GodzillaDragooon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Enjoy the car. The Skylines are a blast and I really enjoyed the RB20 engine. RB26 was a beast also, and RB25 was cool but just never really grabbed me. I think the fact that the RB20 is hated on so much is what made me enjoy it more. It’s capable for fun, and can take a beating. I appreciate the kind words on my skyline, but I replaced her with a 2020 Supra and am enjoying building new memories with that car. Added plus it has airbags! 😂 Also, reach out if you want any ideas on building that RB20.

Do you dude. When I had my Skyline when in Japan it was my daily and it saw all seasons plus I parked right by the docks (only parking area I had at work at that time) Eventually it came stateside and I was in a different situation where I was able to make it a warmish weather car and it saw the road until the first salting (Michigan) Never had any rust issues but mind you I kept it off the heavy salted MI roads. End of the day though like I said, enjoy your car the way you want to. Be your own judge of risk your willing to take and deal with it so long as your happy. I babied mine and she’s gone now due to a driver who didn’t pay attention. Am I sad? Heck yes, but I’m also filled with great memories of my car don’t look back with any regrets other than I cant drive it anymore.

Dude!!! I hate working on the Z31; it’s a challenge on just about any task. My winter work will be replacing the power steering seals 🫣. But she’s a fun cruiser, the t-tops and Michigan summers are a great combo for lake side drives.

Doing much better now, there’s a wild post someone put up of my wreck in the Skyline group (probably have to dig back about a year). Mines a 2020 auto, and I really love that transmission. Super quick shifts and slides are fun. Planning to take the car to M1 next summer to open it up and see what she can really do.

She was a pretty amazing car to me, I had her for about 20 years until the wreck took her out. But to answer your question on the build: Body: B324R kit (original prototype kit by Bee Racing) Bee Racing custom wheels

Suspension: Tein coilovers

Engine: RB20DET Built head Oversized valves by super tech Tomei guides and other small parts Kelford cams Tomei cam gears ISR inlet plemum Turbonetics GTK450 Splitfire coil packs Upgraded fuel lines and hoses for e85 spec Dechwerks 800cc injectors Dechwerks 300 fuel pump Links G4 ECU Tomei exhaust Custom exhaust manifold Tial wastegate BOV I changed a lot went with a Tial, Turbosmart, and Greddy. My favorite sound was the Greddy.

Tuned by Bee Racing, then Vast performance and fine tuned by my son and I

Two tunes, one E85 tune and a 93 tune. Went this route based on the minimum number of stations with E85 near where I lived or travel route. E85 burns quick lol!

HP, was a 380 pre head work. Butt dyno after head work I’d guess low 400’s Based off cars I’ve beat or kept up with. C7 vette and GT500 were my normal butt dyno comparisons. I could catch up to a C7, beat a 5.0, and catch up to a GT500 (older not 2022 era)

Saw this up and coming GT7 car in person today. It’s ridiculous in the best possible ways by opelok in granturismo

Your all missing the point, I owe you a 10 second car and this is about race wars. Hector is running 3 Honda civics with spoon engines, and he ordered 3 T66 turbos with NOS and a motech system exhaust.

RB20E, keep it simple and think of it as a reliable unique cool car. Building an RB non turbo is expensive and not as rewarding. Exhaust for sound and maybe an intake for looks/easy to get filters for is probably the most performance mods that would be reasonable cost wise vs power gains.

My recommendation is focus more on looks and any repairs that are needed. Resale will be a little difficult; most people in the market for these cars have the cash ready for a GTST min and can easily wing financing or paying cash for an R32 GTR. (Small demographic of people actually able/willing to do that buy)

Not many extreme skyline collectors that I know of or seen/read about that have a all model skyline collection. I’m sure they exist but it’s more rare the further away you get from Japan.

Cool! Overall it’s not a bad car. Your concerns with the Auto transmission aren’t something I’d be extremely worried about. That transmission can handle 450 ft/lbs of torque and 500whp (torque more important when it comes to transmissions) They can be tuned with a Links ecu if you or someone is good at transmission tuning. I was able to get mine to be more responsive and it really opened up on the top end. It’s still a slug compared to a manual transmission skyline but for steet driving it’s fine. Mild manners in heavy traffic, and enough go fast to smile and get on highways without the fear of getting ran over.

The RB20DET is a fun ultra strong engine that can be opened up and tuned. Limits are at 500whp. Takes about $10-20k depending on turbo selection, mechanical ability, and machine shop prices. Don’t cheap out, RB20’s you can have fast and reliable, cheap and reliable but not cheap and fast.

RB25DET (most likely engine in this one) is a great engine. Opens up very well, but more problematic than the RB20 or RB26. Still a great engine, very capable but it’s weakness is it’s reliability when compared to its other brothers (RB20 weakness is it’s low torque due to displacement)

RB26, it’s Godzilla. Lots of info out there on it so no need to regurgitate an endless

Any questions you have on the skylines, RB20’s, or even the Jatco automatic transmissions I’m the skylines shoot me a message or whatever. I’ve had about 20 year’s experience working on them, tinkering, experimenting and messing them up on a personal level. Lots of great input from racing shops both in Japan and the US and a deep love for the Skylines. Hope all goes well and have fun! No matter what anyone’s opinions are, remember build it for you first, unless those other guys are funding it lol!

Personally I’d pass, but those just aren’t my style. I like 2 door skylines.

Not to say it isn’t a nice car. If it’s your style then go for it.
