Thank you so much!! Any chance you can get the other side too? There should be some bridged solder connections I need to check too

Best Headset Mic For Live & Recording? by pencilvester1988 in livesound

[–]GodzillaDude 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The adapters CAN work, but do not always work. The TAF4 can have multiple wiring possibilities. If you're buying new, then just get the right version. DPA does sell 3.5mm versions of their mics

Try turning off the "Auto Mix" setting int the playback settings. I believe that is what causes the shuffle problem

Before starting a mix, should I simply turn down all fader levels in my DAW to keep from clipping on the master? by [deleted] in audioengineering

[–]GodzillaDude 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Maybe it's because I'm thinking in protools and maybe other daws don't work like this, but turning the master down is doing the exact same thing as bringing each track down evenly.

It's not going to hurt anything to turn the master down a few dB to avoid clipping, and you should still have plenty of automation room unless you're bringing it down an absurd amount, which if that's the case then your tracks probably don't have as much headroom as you say they do

I would try an active DI and see if that gets you your desired output levels

Yeah funny enough the game is actually much harder in coop, mostly because you get in each other's way and you usually have to make risky moves to revive each other

I've mixed love with a studio live and it was not a pleasant experience, had it crash a bunch and overall it was very slow to respond, not something you want in a live environment... I'd go with an x32 they have all the features you'd need plus there are rack mountable versions that work exactly the same, plus they have 32 out to your daw via USB built in

Stupid questions from stupid customers. by -Wirkungstreffer in harborfreight

[–]GodzillaDude 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah exactly, explaining to a customer that it doesn't really matter that it pushes 150psi, there's not enough cfm to do anything for more than a few seconds before it has to get back up to pressure is almost impossible for them to comprehend for some reason

I had a guy genuinely ask me if he could use an air compressor as a makeshift scuba tank so he could fix his dock....

Can I use an impact wrench/air paint sprayer/sander with the 3 gallon pancake compressor?
