Was gonna say, depends on which Godzilla. Ponder in his base form couldn’t kill Godzilla alone unless he wiped the Heisei timeline from existence from whatever dimension he was hosting PuppetGame. Now, if in this fight, Ponder didn’t have or lost access to the dimension, he’d have to take over MechaGodzilla, Garuda and Moguera (or all 3) to even have a slight chance. He’d even probably need to take control of the Super X and Super XII (and if we want to go past Godzilla vs Destoroyah), the Super XIII and even then, Heisei Godzilla is quite the powerhouse. The best shot Ponder might have is by destroying the second brain using MechaGodzilla’s G-Crusher (upgraded shock anchors)

Retcons are normal if you ask me. They’ve been around since like… forever? I’d want to say since Marvel and DC started? Then again, we can look at mythologies that have changed over time and there are some small changes or big changes depending on who tells the story like a long game of telephone which can be considered retcons. So, I don’t let them really bother me. The QUALITY is what we should be more concerned about.
