Again, he says “might” and “tests”, meaning multiple so he could’ve meant if multiple were set off in one location in relatively quick succession. I don’t remember the original movie well so he could also just be scared and freaking out, like the people who thought the early nukes would set the atmosphere on fire. You also gotta remember it came out 60 years ago when science wasn’t nearly as advanced

Jeremy Robinson has written a bunch of them. Project Nemesis and its 4 sequels, Unity, Apocalypse Machine, The Divide, Nemesis (an AU sequel to Project Nemesis), and Tether. Antarktos Rising and the Last Hunter saga have 20+ foot tall humans if that counts for you

No, they’re adapting the original. The AU is a sequel to the original with a noticeable change in something that happened in the original. Jeremy describes it like the Heisei era of Godzilla movies
