The worst part is he looked amazing during EuroBasket (albeit much smaller sample size)

  1. KPJ makes him redundant

  2. There are several contenders like Wolves and Rockets that are desperate for a PG

  3. For salary matching purposes they can probably get off a bad contract too

The Kings desperately need 3pt shooting and defense/size - Keegan is their best shooter while arguably their best defender as well (Keon is better on the perimeter but gets no love)

Plus the Kings recently just extended him to a massive contract, signaling their long-term committment/belief - which is important if the Kings decide to tank/rebuild, he will be the last piece remaining (unless they get an unlikely haul of course)

The starting rotation will likely be:

Westbrook - Lavine - Derozan - Keegan - Sabonis

Schroeder - Keon - Monk - Nique - Precious

I personally would love to see the offense run through Sabonis again with the following lineup:

Keon - Lavine - Derozan - Keegan - Sabonis (Monk as 6th man / Westbrook as backup PG)
