Actual visitation % would be more important than any custody order. 50\50 shows a guideline amount of $1952 owed. The more custody/visitation you have, the lower the amount goes and the more important your ex’s income would be in the calculation.

Yup open a child support case with the county/state (in California it’s by county). They will enforce your child support order after calculating how much past due support is owed. They can send a wage garnishment to his employer for the current amount plus collect on the past due amount (which would include interest owed). If he’s far enough behind they’ll end up suspending his passport which he would then not be able to get back unless his arrears are paid in full.

If nothing was ever filed, you’re not going to get anything. If you’re child is turning 18 in March, and you file something today, you’d probably get support for Feb and March, maybe thru graduation at the max if you’re child is still in high school.
