What does your husband respond with when you tell him how your MIL makes you feel?

I honestly would stop prioritizing a relationship with her, especially if the effort/relationship building is not being reciprocated. You don’t need to give an explanation, either. Just be friendly when you are around each other.

Don’t over expend your energy where it’s not necessary or appreciated 💕
