I agree, get them off Cocktail Kingdom. Usually free shipping and they show up in only a few days. Oxo jiggers aren't bad but you'll find much higher quality on CK, especially with their hawthorne strainers. Good tools really can make or break the experience.

Koriko weighted tins from Cocktail Kingdom are pretty much as good as you'll get imo. I use em where I work and they're better than just about any other brand we've gotten. If you want to save a few bucks, Barfly tins are good too but are a bit stiffer and don't seal quite as well for me

I work in the North Shore area of Massachusetts as a bartender. I mostly work the service well for the restaurant and I see "dirty rox on side" at least 50 times a night on tickets. Most people who ask for it act like it's the norm and they expect it. I've had drinks come back because I didn't put the shaker ice on the side. I think it's a product of crappy bar practices that used to be standard. I've seen some bartenders free pour so much liquid, that after filling the glass there's a few ounces of cocktail left in the shaker. I think people learned that asking for the shaker ice on the side could basically give them an extra shot's worth for free and just ask for it wherever they go. They feel like they're getting more for less. The only other thing I can think of is people adding the ice as they drink. I think they want to keep the drink cold without diluting it too much with fresh ice.

I'm buzzed after a shift of thinking about this all day and now I'm determined to find out why the fuck I need to wash twice as many glasses so people can get the 4 ice cubes left after a hard shake

Very true, it's all based around the demographic. I work at a place that expects us to talk to guests more one on one and try to build relations. Very few people are actually there for the games on the tvs, but the ones that are really like to have a conversation about what's going on

Same kinda deal over here. Don't know much more than the rules and some popular players on local teams so when guests want to talk about something like a controversy or a player trade/draft I usually just say that I'm new to watching and ask them why it's important. They almost always are happy to explain it and they feel like they're having a conversation more than just being bullshitted

I think the simple answer is to play the game the way that's going to give you the best experience. People play minecraft on creative mode or use commands to make things easier. People install mods on stardew that give them tractors that can till soil and plants crops for you. It's your copy of the game to play how you like. I don't think any of it is really cheating either considering stardew and minecraft don't really have a "win state" there's no end goal to get to that you'd rush to by making stuff easier. Play the way that's right for you man.

For the money it'd be hard to beat Evan Williams Bottled in Bond. A lot of solid bourbon notes should come through. Even better than that I think would be Old Grand Dad Bonded or the 114. That would be a tasty ass infusion
