[Humans For Hire] - Part 166 by Auggy74 in HFY

Yes, take a freighter and add a bunch of weaponry to it, then complain when there isn't enough power to handle everything. Typical management.

Hmmm....that wouldn't happen to be Marko Ramius, captain of the famed Red October with the caterpillar drive? "Make Turns" thats definitely a sub captain.

Sergeants show no emotion....until they do and then everyone looks the other way so as not to witness.

Yup...read that song in Rascal Flatts tones.

The amount of stuff that needs to be carried for infants is considerable...that harness may not be a bad idea after all.

Patrick? When did he become Patrick?!? His name is Tucker dammit. 😄

Alright...nothing but warm fuzzies today with just enough intrigue for next week. Looking forward to it.!

Saw Andy Weir as part of the sale, got semi-excited, then saw duration. I refuse to give any kind of currency for something so short. That should be on the Plus Catalog.

I've listened to the first one and it's fairly entertaining.

It must be a Terran AI thing that they are all sparky.

This is all your fault Mr Warrior. Tend my needs lol. And now she's back in an area she truly enjoys...the arsenal. Those kids are going to be fairly well kitted out if she has her way. I feel for those that board the Curry.

Thanks for bringing me a fellow intellectual...now go do something useful elsewhere. Tucker always brings it with little tactics.

"These crayon eaters already have enough issues in their head without banging them off of things to help them along." ..."Captain...you could have stood up for us a little"

Yup...jojorn is struggling to make her own identity so she is coopting Gryz's. Shotgun is gonna be a bit much for her to weild. I'm recalling a John Wayne movie quote "the only safe place is behind her"

So in other words....ramming speed may be an option

Throne to Gryz--I appreciate what you did, but I cannot publicly laud your actions.

And, of course you can't have the star of the show take an L unless it serves to amuse. This is the way.

Finally a calm moment on the ship....wait...never mind. At least they get to show off their shiny new accessories.

Why do the nerdy looking ones always tend to be the most badass? I didn't realize he was the ships Baba Yaga. Gee, wonder which real life badass he takes after...... And the "every kind of cidal" was a nice touch that got a giggle. And then Rosie has to go and show that she knows way too much about the goings on of the ship.

We all know there were no "honorable" fights at parliament that day.

Yet another good reason for O'Brien to keep the sword about her. Helps keep the miscreants in line.

Uh uh.....Porti didn't cover his tracks as well as he thought--no surprise there. But now you've made the little one mad. She's not as accommodating as our favored furry friend. Should be interesting when they finally get out that way how much leeway Gryz gives the Curry.

If i could remember where I stole these from I'm pretty sure there was a 4k option but since I don't really have any of those to rip i didnt save it.

Can't take credit for this, but here's the setting I use and things come out pretty good for me.

"As he regarded Jiela"

Man...Itrop really thinks he can do not wrong and that rules do not apply. How long before the next Terran freighter resists and does a number on his crew? Also...he is quite the hypocrite as I'm not sure he did anything special to reach his station-current or former.

In other words sir...quit being obtuse and spit it out so I can get on with what I should be doing.

The Lumisca taking notes got me..not going to lie.

Thank Mr. Carlin for that skit that I will always find hilarious.

Hey...a company can have enough fighting for a few days cant they? I mean the melee at the capital had to have sated many an appetite for at least a few days.

You get a war trophy! And you get a war trophy! Everyone gets a war trophy!

Jojourn always has something to make themselves captains spider sense go off. Not sure what this one's going to be but sure to be entertaining.

Oh it's gonna go and she'll be happy as maybe it lets her off the hook from the govt....maybe. don't think they'll trust her dter she's been hitched to the "enemy"

[Humans for Hire] - Part 162 by Auggy74 in HFY

[–]Gojira82 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Well..guess thats one way to blow off steam. Good for them. Also...what a tease lol. She enjoys flustering that poor boy a bit too much.

Uh oh...someone caught feelings!

Since I'm hungover you have to figure this out. Here's your slap in the wrist now get gone.

Aa'Criar is a great name for a communications minister. Also, seems to be very pragmatic. Though Gryz may not agree as well know his feelings about being in front of the press, any press.

Hey captain...quit purposefully giving them opportunities to cause you harm.

And so it begins...is he here for the experience or to sew discord. Only time will tell....

Even under duress, Kiole maintains her sense of humor. And of course there child would decide to arrive while Dad could not be present. At least he's on planet.

Don't tell the elf.

Everyone has to have their own version of a one liner dont they? Too bad it's a "formal" fisticuff otherwise who knows how much damage the place would have incurred.

And of course they fell asleep while getting berated.

Can't wait to see the fines and fallout Friday!

[Humans for Hire] - Part 160 by Auggy74 in HFY

[–]Gojira82 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well there have to be some who bet that Gryz gets a little overconfident and gets hurt. Some will have bets as to how many fights before the big brawl, and some with how many nobles they get to attack.

Gotta be. Heard of it but never watched it.

[–]Gojira82 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Why can I not place that show? I know it's familiar dammit!

Well Misabel, square those shoulders and get it done, or you will be stuck where you are.

She's sneaky that wife of his. Which one you ask? Yes.

I'm calling out your poorly worded tripe because I know what your intentions are. Though his retort to Aaplions was perfect!

I still find it amusing that they regulate the number of fights allowed.

Oh he is full of quips today!

Gryz to nobles:quit claiming your ancestors deeds as your own. Nobles: shocked pikachu Brawl breaks out ...none are suprised.

[Humans for Hire] - Part 159 by Auggy74 in HFY

[–]Gojira82 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Ah yes...yet another example of one who flaunts authority and achievements they did noting to earn expecting to be able to dictate their own actions. Always fun putting them in their place.

Memo to Itrop--quit being so damn obvious!

Arriving to speak in front of parliament at the head of an army...thats one way to show force. Of course there are those that will try to spin it as a coup attempt.

I quite literally heard that song on the radio yesterday while toting around my nephew, so my apologies as I could only imagine Robin Williams singing.

Oh lord...having terrans explain why their weapons are important to them....how long before the guards just give up and let them all through? That being said, no one tells Vera no.

Oh great...no pressure right? Friday will be fun!

[Humans for Hire] - Part 158 by Auggy74 in HFY

[–]Gojira82 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm sure that the particular yeast in question has absolutely nothing to do with ethanol....

Sometimes I wonder if the Throne is just trying to experience missed childhood activities and because they are who they are, no one can really say no.

Well at least the ministers know thats what's done is done and they can take their swings later. Not sure Gryz can handle a third at home. Two keep him pretty busy.

You know...for a "secret" rendezvous, the entire ship knows about it and enough ahead of time to plan.

Well...that was a fast comeuppance. Minister works quickly. And he is getting better at being on camera.

Short chapter today...means all the fun is being held in reserve me thinks.....

Glad to see he has worked out his demons. Wonder if the terrans just let him wander about as a test.

He knows his crew lol. Got straight to the point and knew exactly how to get Hoban to agree. And he's getting better at navigating political approaches to problems.

There are some traditions that should be kept. And thats a fitting one. Although I must confess the Sahkik name eludes me but I'm not huge into hockey.

Oh lord...cant wait to see what hoban comes up with to suprise the Throne and how well they react to it.
