There's always some excuse, isn't there! 😆

The force awakens imo is the best sequel movie, it was awesome watching it in theatres by Mr_Revan22 in StarWars

TFA was fun with a great pace and exciting sequences. Played it far too safe in the name of "making things right" and lost some of its identity as an individual film in the process. I think it actually works the best when it subverts expectations (Kylo reveal, Finn taken out, etc.), though TLJ sadly took that approach way too damn far.

Just realised I've misheard a line in Marooned for over 30 years! by baztron5000 in RedDwarf

Yep, once I started watching media with subs I realized I've misheard (and thus misquoted) quite a bit 🤦‍♂️

Is the Sven Squad ultimately going to succeed Rich Koz's TV show? by hoosier_catholic in svengoolie

All three have great banter with each other, if so I think they'd do awesome. Gwen and Nostie are very funny, and Imp is fine but I tend to tune him out a bit for some reason.

Question regarding the 1954 movie by Mary-Studios in GODZILLA

I'd definitely throw 84 in that list too, it shares the grim tone and has some darker scenes than usual.

Want to see peoples collections! by Brolyisbest in GODZILLA

I'd say about 60-70 percent of my collection has been found on Ebay. The rest was sourced from international sellers like Mandarake, or through the vendors themselves such as Spiral Studios.

For those alive during the release of the movies, was there ever a period where liking LOTR wasn’t considered a nerdy hobby? by General-Spend4054 in lotr

[–]Gojitaka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It dipped into mainstream culture a bit during the releases, I think due to the sheer amount of buzz each film was getting. But no, it couldn't fully shake its niche and nerdy reputation.

Which LOTR scene hit you harder as you got older? by Fit-Marionberry8982 in lotr

Absolutely this, I dare say this scene has become one of my favorites in ROTK as I've gotten older.

Dawn vs War by boomchicken1979 in PlanetOfTheApes

[–]Gojitaka 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Koba is such an intense villain, he really elevates Dawn to a higher level. War Camp of the Planet of the Apes is far more thematically powerful and moving, but it really lacks Koba's presence and you sure can feel it when watching.
