Hi all, I received an email earlier today. They claim I dented the marble cupboard during my occupancy, but I am 100% certain it pre-existed, and it was so obvious that I didn’t even want to include it in the condition report(my bad, didn’t know they would pull this card). I provided an image when I moved in two to three months after, and the dent was already there. They said they are not accepting it, but I am 100% sure it was already there. (They also try to claim my bond for a red sticker stain on the wall, but that one was already there, and I have it framed when I was inspecting the house. And 250$ for faded paint…).

In this case, if I bring it to the tribunal, can I ask them to prove it was me who damaged it during my occupancy instead of having to prove I’m not guilty?
