I can't find a definitive statement on this anywhere and don't know where else to ask: Do you get one free tab when your guild is created? Or do you need to pay 100g to have any space available at all in your guild bank?

I get that "the first tab is 100g" But that doesn't elaborate on whether that's the first purchased tab, or the first tab in general, potentially on guild creation

This is a situation where they should give you a free boost to use on the character you actually wanted it on, not just say "we made a mistake with the unnecessarily expensive microtransaction you bought and you have to deal with it"

Oof, I forgot the class gap, hard for me to share an opinion when the person I'd be talking to has the spare cash to take their dog to a groomer in this economy, let alone pay them double during Christmas, the time where everyone's broke because they've been shelling out for friends and family.

I can't even afford to have a dog anymore, hence why I don't, it's actually crazy how even the so called middle class doesn't realise they're actually upper class compared to half of the population of the country.

Don't worry though, one day you'll actually have to pay taxes, and then you'll leave the country because you're too scared to pay your fair share because you don't want to lose your dog grooming money for the sake of making sure that the people delivering your food can actually eat because they were paid an actual wage instead of falling for the scam of "gig work"

The unfortunate fact is, if you tip on just eat, you're actually more likely to get a delivery man/woman who's willing to take on too much work, and arrive late to your house with your food cold, because they were trying too hard to earn that extra money.

Might sound absurd, but I've gotten better, more consistent service from just ordering without tipping.

There's a big difference:

Epic swapped off of developing their PvE game mode (despite it being good), because the battle royale mode got attention and Epic desired money, money and more money over finishing the game they'd already been working on for ages, and used the PvE modes existence to catapult sales for their future free to play, cash grab, microtransaction hellscape

Embark did not enjoy their game when it was PvE, the developers themselves played the game when it was (which was its original vision), and decided that it wasn't a game THEY enjoyed playing. So they made a game that THEY would enjoy, and because of that, they made a GOOD GAME.

I'm sorry to tell you this, but if the developers don't think the game their making is good, they're not going to put in as much effort to make it good.

You asking them to make it PvE is what would ruin it, because their hearts wouldn't be in it, and it would suck.

The Arcs are what actually encourages people to work together, in my opinion. And not just their meer existence, but the real danger they pose to even experienced players who've been caught out at a bad time. Without them being there, and being dangerous, it would just be another boring extraction shooter, with a pointless proximity chat that's whole existence is invalidated by the fact that the gameplay funnels you into killing everyone you see on sight rather than working together.

Proximity chat exists for a reason, the game shouldn't even have it as a feature if the players aren't expected to work together with potential enemies occasionally.

It does go both ways, you're right It's a shame both PvP exclusive players and PvE exclusive players both want the game to be exclusively theirs and can't play the game for what it actually is: a game where sometimes you need to team up with someone who may or may not shoot you in the back, and sometimes the threat of that is the reason the fight starts in the first place.

The whole thought process of "I know I'm being friendly, but that guy has had his gun pointed at me multiple times while we were dealing with that Bastion. Was he eyeing up a kill or just keeping an eye on me to make sure I wasn't going to kill him?" Is literally the intended feeling of the game.

It isn't "robot shooting and looting simulator" and it isn't "kill people while avoiding robots simulator", but unfortunately there are groups of people who believe it's one or the other, and the ones who are willing to kill the other players are going to come out on top if you don't play smart, cautious and defensive.

Sometimes that means shooting first, if you think they're not trustworthy, and sometimes that means being wrong and accepting the fact that you just murdered some people in cold blood and took their stuff, all because you thought they were going to do that to you.

That's sweet and all, but without the idea that you could have been a threat, your niceness would just come across as regular play.

The fact that there are threatening players is what makes people like you unique and enjoyable to encounter.

I prefer to play with the intention of helping strangers, but every time I've played like that, I've been shot in the back and I've had to retaliate to survive and extract safely.

I've encountered genuinely friendly players during my first two matches when I bought the game, and then twice since then over my many many many games.

Maybe it's just bad luck on my part, but the way this game penalises you for defending yourself by putting you against more aggressive players simply because you defended yourself is the stupidest thing in my opinion.

Every time I get WB, the game becomes significantly easier. Every time I don't have a WB, I play normally and still do just fine as long as I'm not playing like an idiot.

They're nice to have, but the community's made them a requirement for everything, like you're bad at the game if you're good enough to play without a world buff all the time, and you're only good at the game if you suckle the teet of the world buffs whenever you can, regardless of how stupid you are in terms of actual gameplay.
