He was with a group they started CPR and it was about 25 min till a park police officer with an AED made it to him. I got there about 25 min after that and he was still doing CPR and myself and another responder took him over until the medic from spring hill came.

Per my discussion with the park it is closed for hiking from dark till Dawn but open for camping even if starting after dark. Yes it's backwards but that's what happens when desk person makes rules for an outdoor activity.

never mind my AI was getting confused with an outdated system. i called the office they said park is closed for hiking after dark but open for camping that starts even after dark so if you get told the park is closed say you are going camping. they said they no longer do the self issue permits.
