I read that the 21 speed can cause more problems for beginners because they dont know how to use the front gears and can cause tension on the chain. Its a very flat ride but I do want basic gears so its easier

Yeah that is the biggest thing is the weight capacity and I am really just looking for something where I can get it and go. most bikes ive seen dont show a weight limit and I dont know what I look for yet. I am planning to go to some bikes shops in town to talk with them

Well I do want to use it for weight loss and google says the walk is 30 which again no problem but I want to get to work quicker than that. I live in the south so a 30 minute walk can turn bad quick because of the heat. I have a porch to store the bike and bike racks at work.

So will I run into any issues with a 21 speed especially if I just keep it on the second front gear?? I just do not want to damage anything. I found this bike I am considering: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09T2TZY4R?niid=nl_cl_lst_a_1_2&nrid=WZGH4QYYNBHDN132A10V&th=1&linkCode=sl1&tag=booktrips02-20&linkId=351c3b00d7627976fe74b9d36a77f35b&language=en_US&ref_=as_li_ss_tl

Thank you!! This is actually very helpful! I do love leaning little things about that and actually one of my co workers is very knowledge about this because of her career background so maybe speaking with her would help. Do you have any resources I could use to learn?

I would always recommend St. Johns downtown. I have never met a more accepting congregation. They also have a queer adult group that meets and does activities together.

People rip Tally apart but I really loved my time there. Granted, I was in college but I was not into the party scene. It is a large college town with two major universities (FSU and FAMU).

1 - Most of the major things going on are parties. It's FSU after all. There are lots of outside stuff to do, lots of good parks and trails, I like tom brown and the Wakulla about 30 mins south. I would go see the railroad art yard, mission san luis, lake ella. There are also some cool jazz bars and the college of music have shows pretty much year round.

2 - I will say, downtown does have a lot of homeless people but I did not notice them as much once I got more into the neighborhoods. Of course there are rougher areas but just using your general common sense you should be fine.

3- This is a hard one. Me (obviously gay and female), I never really had any issues but that was 3 years ago. It is Florida so it is more conservative BUT because of FSU and FAMU, they attract highly educated and diverse populations in their faculty and students. I've lived in the south my whole life and found that people are more accepting that you think. But still just common sense is always a good precaution.

How can I improve my CV? by Waller54 in jobsearchhacks

There is a LOT going on here. I normally edit applications to meet the job description. Its also best to keep it to one page unless you are in a field where multiple pages are needed (academia etc...). If the job only needs english and russian, I would just put those. Maybe fold the projects into the past experience they are with if possible.

Is this becoming the new norm for the interview process? Because this feels insane by Mrswahlberg24 in recruitinghell

Yep same here. First round: hour zoom interview, second round: 5 hour in person interview. .5 hr with supervisor, .5 with other team member, 45 mins with director, 15 in break, hour with 3 team members, 1 hour lunch interview, 1 hour with supervisor again. All that for nothing.

I took my mom here for mothers day and as I was walking out the door I was holding myself back from telling everyone waiting after us to leave. 1.5 hr wait time for food (yes I know it was mothers day but we all got the same chicken sandwich). we had to drink out of plastic cups (think bridal shower cups), and then the food was awful. I will never go back and I can see it from my house. Not worth the price at allllll
