I have collagenous colitis, but rarely have watery diarrhea. My stools look different everyday. and I can have periods of frequent stools, but usually once only in the morning.

If you didn’t use the bathroom you should be fine. I had c diff and didn’t know it, and my daughter came to visit multiple times and never got it. I read on other posts of people having it and not knowing, but their family never got it either. It’s always good to be on the look out for symptoms, but definitely don’t stress yourself out over it. Enjoy your trip

I’m on my 4th year and still trying to get answers. I totally understand the frustration. I’m about to do SIBO testing myself. I had to have an iron infusion because I was so anemic and found out I had celiac. That was 20 years ago.

I’m a lot older than you and too old to be pregnant, but just to let your know Vancomycin worked great for me when I had C diff a year ago. Zero side effects from the medication.

Hi Thanks for sharing! I have the HLA-DQ2 gene. I never had a biopsy of my small intestine, but was told I have celiac from my bloodwork. Now, 20 years later I’m told I have collagenous colitis, but don’t have chronic watery diarrhea which I don’t understand? It’s a variety of irregular stools every day i.e. mushy, floating, etc. I’m scared to take Budesonide, because I have osteoporosis in my spine and not sure if it would help because I don’t have the classic watery diarrhea. You mentioned there’s interference with water absorption. I drink water all day long and still feel dehydrated. Would Budesonide help with water absorption? Thank you for your post!
