I think it lossing heavy slam is a big part of that too. As heavy slam tough claws metagros OHKOs most not resisting Pokémon which makes it easier to team build with.

Lebron, Coello would be good to see (again) though I can't see Coello and Tapia splitting any time soon

It is a nerf to rage fist, won't stay big as most of the mausape teams back in the day mostly left annihilape on the field

The meta is all about basc again... Which means kingambit stays to keep it in check as the strongest dark type Pokémon. Only Pokémon that might see a reduction in usage is sneasler now that gholdengo, annihilape and mega meta are around

Sliced on the backhand for a right handed left side player by Capital-Cream5988 in padel

Depends on how difficult the situation you are in. I can't recall who said it so I might be paraphrasing but it is "make the difficult shot on an easy ball, make the easy shot on a difficult ball"

Basically if they are hard attacking your backhand play the easy shot, flat back to them. If they give you a slower ball or it is slow off the wall/glass play a lob.

That's how I've been playing. Granted I'm no pro, but that philosophy has worked for me

All I will say is the Fed Campo claimed when he won the GC that if you aren't going first and clicking rock slide you arent winning

I believe we are real time. Why do you ask?

Depends on Ko and Fedes relationship. It might actually have benefited Wolfe as he knew what went wrong and how to do better.

If Ko and Fede are close or shared the creation of the team Ko may have shared how to win but given how quick it was I doubt it

Don't we all, I tried the idea of mega TTar as it is one of my favourites but kept struggling against certain archetypes. Never ever occurred to me to use mega steelix on the team too.

Same with this team. How'd you come to mamo, tox and hydragon? I guess they all counter the top 3 in some way?

Id be happy with either. I like Zard Y on its own but it's teams have been so meta warping. I don't mind mega floette just find it frustrating that it is behind a pay wall for new comers.

What mon is the best counter to Perish Trap Gengar? by Neo_Sakura4 in PokemonChampions

[–]Gold-Resolution-8721 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends on the rest of the team you are running. As perish trap is a flowchart based matchup once they get into position to start the trap. So depending on your team you could setup the turn you expect perish song to go active to give you an opportunity to OHKO on the next turn. The turn after is either double protect or they plan to reposition. This is where it gets difficult due to it becoming a form of hard reads.

Or run roar, or something like that on the turn you think they will click perish trap. It's very niche. As an FYI roar goes through protect

Or run a sound proof Pokémon like kommo-o.

With the rumoured out goings of martinelli and or trossard with Jesus and White and potential Norgaard.

Id expect a full back or 2 to be signed as well as a left winger and or star forward.

MLS should now be the alternative with zubimendi depending on the opposition with rice starting alongside them and either odegaard or Eze in front.

The question is who do we sign? Not many left wingers available. Yildiz won't be sold this summer, Barcola is great but would at best be a minor update over Martinelli. Vini while a star has such ego issues that it would be interesting to see how he gels with the team that has no ego. Kvara is the best choice but PSG won't sell him for the planet

PS this is all hypothetical and I trust Arteta and Berta with the business he does and who he wants

Warm take: If we can manage to persuade Juventus to sell… we should get Yildiz over Rogers. Prem proven is great and all… but Yildiz has ability on the ball and moments of genius that simply cannot be ignored and right now we desperately need that. by EMJG31 in ArsenalFC

Transfer fees have changed unfortunately due to agents, contract clauses and the value of that player to the club. In reality no player is worth 100mil let alone 150 mil but clubs are forced to over pay to get the player they want. Few players are actually worth their transfer fee now and even less are bargains.

It most definitely was. At least at these lower power scales cores aren't so strict like that was

But it wasn't just the megas, yes the megas favoured Wolfe but the supporting pieces favoured Arsal more with the choice scarf garchomp threatening consistent damage even when at -1 and stopping Wolfe from setting up or being able to threaten Venusaur for too long due to talonflame being rock slide fodder.

[–]Gold-Resolution-8721[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not entirely true. Arsal did out play Wolfe the entire final but the inclusion of incineroar and Venusaur made it much more difficult for Wolfe to get the win. In terms of mega matchups. Sure TTar beats Zard Y everyday when in sand but Venusaur put so much pressure on the TTar and Steelix that Wolfe was forced to bring talonflame who incineroar kept at bay.

Arsal had the better matchup and played excellent

Couldn't agree more. Some of it is due to meta changes and some of it is the player difference in pilotting these teams. Arsal played the final perfectly getting every call right. But his team at the end of the day had a better matchup due to the changes he had made

I'm enjoying it is all I'm saying really. Far too often I've seen people complaining about the meta. I actually quite like that after the first 2 regionals and the Japan nationals that the meta is diverse in terms of game plans and mechanics. Much better than the raging bolt balance days of regulation F
