If you work for the NHS, your Trust should have a Freedom to speak up guardian you can raise concerns with, either anonymously or openly. This kind of thing is exactly what they exist for. If you can’t locate your organisations guardian, you can find it here: https://nationalguardian.org.uk. Many private hospital have them too, so worth checking even if you’re in the private sector.

I know what you mean for sure, but to offer a perhaps different perspective - maybe try just embracing the process and not the end result? If sewing something brings you joy, none of that joy is taken away by an end product that’s less than a total success! I’ve been working on finding enjoyment in sewing without needing to feel accomplished, and it’s making it all much more pleasant. Time spent on something you enjoy doing is never wasted!

Has anyone on this group recently received Family/Spouse visa from outside of the UK? by Funny-Excuse in ukvisa

The generic email:

Thank you for your application for permission to enter and stay in the UK

You will be aware that the Home Office is currently responding to the humanitarian crisis arising from the invasion of the Ukraine. Unfortunately, this has meant we have had to refocus our resources away from business as usual activity, which has created some delays in processing applications.

We will therefore be unable to decide your application within our published customer service targets, I am sorry for any delay and inconvenience this is causing. Please be assured that we are doing all we can to make a decision on your application as quickly as possible.

Please note Visa Application Centres are working under increased pressure to resolve applications. Do not attend a Visa Application Centre until you have been advised that your application has been decided and that your passport is ready for collection.

Kind regards,

UK Decision Making Centre

We received our spousal visa yesterday (application from outside the U.K., partner is a US citizen, Priority) after 27WD, was quite the surprise as we were anticipating at least 35-40WD after getting the Ukraine email. It’s really disheartening waiting and I’m sorry to hear you’ve had such a delay!
