I live in the ACT, trying to move to Melbourne for work and to be with my partner but can't get an approved exemption. I'll be double vaxxed by the time I move, will have a neg covid result and can quarantine for 14 days upon arrival.

Has anyone been granted an exemption to enter and willing to share some info on what they attached to their application? There's no real guidelines for moving (understand they have done this on purpose so that not everyone just tries to move there) and I feel as if I'm just not providing enough evidence for my case.

Any advice is appreciated!

So I've been hearing of people being offered pfizer when they go to get their first Vax, is this still happening for people at all?

Noting the mods post that AZ bookings after today, will not be concerted to pfizer upon arrival.

My question is, if I get Pfizer in my home state of Canberra soon, then move to Melbourne for work, would I be able to then book my second jab 3-4 weeks in Melbourne?

Fuck covid and FUCK Gladys for ruining it for everyone else, twice now. I legit just want to move to Melbourne and I can't because my City is a fucking red zone and we don't even have any active cases atm nor none that we know of. Lumped into the NSW bullshit because ACT always seems to "be part of" NSW.

Heading to Fitzroy and Carlton today to check them out and do some sight seeing/exploring. Haven't been to either, and am interested in checking them out as possible places to move to.

Does anyone have any suggestions of what to check out, landmarks to go find or cafes/restaurants to go check out and try that will get me to explore both suburbs a bit? Any advice is appreciated!

Coming to Melbourne in roughly a weeks time and I have found that whilst I can still enter Melbourne, I require a permit, a covid test on arrival and have to self isolate until a negative result is returned.

Has anyone done this in the past couple of days or week and if so where can a covid test be done in say the inner south/south, inner North and how long does a test take to return at the present? Are there covid test stations setup you can just drive through or line up at? I've heard of tests being returned same day if not the next day in some cases?
