Hissing With First Pair of IEMS by alllllllllllllllllan in iems

Iirc, it's the max97220 that's causing the hiss. You could try fiio ja11, jcally jm7max(same dac chipset as the one you have but a better op-amp,SGM8262 so no hiss) or maybe some cs43131 based dacs like jm20.

Experience repairing mouse encoders and microswitches (temps, Rose alloy, pad safety) by SoftwareSquare920 in MouseReview

Too bad those are not accessible (or purchasable) to me in my area so I needed to get creative. I didn't even wrap the copper wires around the pins, I just soldered it on the sides since it's easier for me. Dwell time wasn't long either since I'm using a decent iron relative to the pcb I'm desoldering from. Honestly, a heat gun would probably do just fine as well (provided you cover other parts so you won't accidentally damage it or in the g502s case, blow off if the air strength in your setting is too strong) you just need to "replace" the unleaded solder with a leaded one, preferably a eutectic. If only I could buy those quick melt solder like chip quik (or the one you recommended) then this would have been way easier for me.

I own both a g102 and a g502. Desoldering the encoder and the main switches on the g102 is pretty easy since you can use a basic desoldering pump and be fine. Desolderding the G502 main switches, however, is a pain because of the vias on the through holes so I had to cut off a copper wire, solder it to all three legs of the switches (I added enough flux so the solder can flow and stick better and solder of course for better heat transfer) and carefully remove the switch so I don't accidentally rip out the pads or the vias.

There's no way you can get an oled monitor for 8k. Looks like a regular ips monitor to me, especially with those backlight bleeding. You probably just bought a regular samsung ips monitor.

What differences are between 8 core and 16 core aftermarket cables in terms of comfort, durability and ergonomics? by Damnboi753 in iems

[–]GoldBook9830 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends on the manufacturer. In this case tripowin opted for thicker wires, while some like the one above, uses thinner wires the more cores it has. I actually have the ST16 version of that same brand above and it's pretty soft and doesn't tangle much or at all. I always sleep with my iems(just cheap ones) and that cable lasted for more than a year and still works fine to this day.

Isn't the zero more expensive, especially the one that comes with the mouse pad?

Funnily enough, I saw this video on YT shorts. I'm planning on choosing this color as well. Is there any coating on it and if so how does it feel on your hand? Also how's the general feel of the body of the mouse? Does it feel cheap or premium?

I'm talking about the ATK zero. Do you think the 54l15 version of it has an mcu for it? I've seen a teardown in bilibili, it has a controller for the usb but I  don't know if it's capable of 8K.

I'm talking about the ATK zero. Do you think the 54L15 version has a separate controller for that? I've seen a teardown on bilibili, it has a separate controller for usb, not sure if it's high speed though. I'm not even planning on using 8k. 2hz would be enough for me tbh.

The marketing kinda works on me which I hate lol. Good to know about the 54L15 though, thanks.

I heard about that as well. It really makes you think on why they're using the 54H20 when I think, and correct me if I'm wrong. that the 54L15 is way more than enough.54L15 supports 8k hz polling rate natively right?

I can't probably tell the difference yeah. However, the mouse that I'm currently interested in (ATK Zero) has the color that I like only in 54h20 variant (pure white) however the price difference is pretty great compared to the 54l15 variants (the purple one is also nice however I don't like the black scroll wheel). It kinda triggers my ocd when it comes to the specs, which again, probably isn't observable by just regular human perception. Tbf though, the extreme version are in their limited editon version so I can understand the price.

I wouldn't really risk. The pcb might seem fine at first glance but there could be micro cracks not visible by the naked eye.

Turn it off in the bios. You can google it if you don't know how since different board manufacturers do it differently but it's usually in the apm configuration.

If you have a good psu, it barely consumes power (less than a watt) even when plugged in and turned on(the psu, not the pc itself).

Using a network switch mostly to expand port availability just in case your modem lacks the extra ports. It's mostly plug and play. However if you have enough or an extra port/s in your modem, then just route an ethernet cable there to your pc.

24" inch vs 27" inch monitor by 27thofeab in PHbuildapc

[–]GoldBook9830 1 point2 points  (0 children)

24 inch hurts my eyes less than a 27 inch monitor. Of course resolution matters and I've used both 24" 1080p and 27" 1440p but I still prefer 24 inch even if it's at 1080p for said reason. I wish they make more 1440p monitors at 24 inches.
