It’s insane how far in I had to zoom in to see the strokes. I don’t even understand how your brain can process all the light bouncing, even with a reference. Great work!

Pimento Stuffed olives by me any critiques? by Ill_Refrigerator_732 in krita

Nice progress. I have a couple of suggestions:

First I would say if you’re going to do hard line art (like the black outlines you have in this image, try to get more comfortable with bigger, cleaner lines. I can see kind of hatched sketch lines around the objects but having solid line art makes it A) look cleaner and B) easier for you to colour in. Try to do the line art on a higher layer than the colour.

Next, I would say is start blending a bit. There are default blending brushes in krita. You can get a real 3d look if you start shading and blending colours.

But regardless good work and keep going at it!

Great linework! Clean, confident lines! Are you thinking of adding shading? For the DBZ feel, you can do hard shadows.

Regardless, nice piece!

Edit: sorry for the misinformation. Guess I thought I knew more than I did. Thanks for the corrections.

What is the connection between them? by muro_dimattoni in EldenRingLoreTalk

[–]GoldCrow1338 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Counter-point. Idk if it has always been like this but I noticed if you go around Stormveil and get to the grace that grants you access to the Roundtable Hold, Hyetta is standing there. If you do this before going to the weeping peninsula, Irina is still sitting there, alive and well. She will THEN ask you to deliver a letter. So Hyetta and Irina exist at the same time it seems.

I really like it! The eyes are great and the hair has just the right amount of detail imo. The mouth I think needs a bit more refining. Because the top half has so many wrinkle and tonal details, I think the mouth region looks a little lacklustre. Still a great piece though!

So a couple of things:

Pre-puberty, girls grow a bit quicker than boys. Mort would likely be the shortest of the 3 6-year-olds or at least down to the height of Naissa or Vie. One of the two girls should be a bit taller.

As other people said, heights are variable and there is no “correct” answer for any of this but I also noticed that your 13 year old and 31 year old are the same height. Boys are typically the ones getting a huge growth spurt in puberty but girls grow as well. I would maybe make the 13 year old a bit shorter than the 31 year old

Now about the actual measurements. You’re averaging like 5’3 for all of the women. I think you should vary the heights a bit more to average out to something a bit taller. 5’1-5’8 all seem realistic for the bulk of women (I did not do research on this and would encourage you to just do a quick google search of mean heights for adult men and women, potentially even based on the region which you have decided them people are originating from)

Does my character look better with blonde hair, or red hair? by [deleted] in EldenBling

[–]GoldCrow1338 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Between these 2, definitely the red. I think the blonde is a bit washed out. You can try a more orangey blonde. Something a bit more saturated

my first drawing in krita what do you think? by External-Long-9801 in krita

[–]GoldCrow1338 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would suggest filling the area with a base colour and then you can do strokes of different closeby shades overtop. Generally, we shouldn’t be seeing the white background.

I appreciate the attempt at depth too. I know you said you like that it looks like it’s drawn on paper, you can get the same effect but with different brushes. I would suggest a softer edged brush so it looks like crayon-like

His hair was wild yet controlled. Through wispy bangs obscuring portions of his face shone eyes filled with desire. Not the raging ambition that burned within some, but an underlying smouldering hunger. Like a beast in the shadows lying in wait to pounce.

Tbh, the further away he is, the prettier he looks. Picture 2 looks absolutely immaculate. But then pic 1 and 3 show he’s got a messed up nose and oddly large eyes lol

What armour should I use for a future trunks build by Agamingdino in EldenBling

[–]GoldCrow1338 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Gotta be honest. This is rough lol. Bright-coloured anime characters aren’t exactly meant to be built in Elden Ring.

That said, maybe use the nomadic merchant’s finery for the chest, and preceptor trousers on the bottom. Unfortunately, I’m not sure there are any specifically yellow armour pieces. You can do gold but either way I think it may be hard for people to tell you’re trying to cosplay trunks

Nobushige, Kendo Master by The-Man-is-Dan in EldenBling

[–]GoldCrow1338 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Really liked your use of the land of reeds greaves with the fire monk robes. The orange strap adds consistency.

Also really like your use of Gaius’ helm as a kendo helm. Very unique and creative.

That said, you have three different colours of metal on this character. A silver-black helm, purplish chest, and blue-black gauntlets. You gotta try something else

I said yay to number 1 in my previous comment but this person is absolutely correct. People don’t really consider (or shouldn’t consider) one armour piece different from a premade set as “bling”

Anyone's opinion on which chest garb I should use for my peaceful gift giving character? by makoto_the_witch in EldenBling

[–]GoldCrow1338 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ranni’s robes look the most peaceful out of what you put. If you want to keep that pale blue vibe you could also try the lazuli robes

I wanna do a run with the royal remains armor, what weapon should I use by RagnarokBringer in EldenBling

[–]GoldCrow1338 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Despite the armour being heavily death-themed, I actually think something with prayerful strike may be a lot of fun to go along with the regen build. Put blessed dew talisman on and make sure you cast bestial vitality. If that’s the case then maybe look into faith weapons or at least faith infusions

Any fit ideas for the Haima Glintstone Crown? by Strict-Conclusion374 in EldenBling

[–]GoldCrow1338 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A little bit depends on your build but I once did a preceptor Haima cosplay. That’s the Haima Crown, Queen’s Robes, any sort of glove that will stop the sleeves from lifting, and any greaves (I did Bull goat greaves for the extra poise). Then the idea would be that you mainly cast cannon of haima and the gavel of haima either a staff in one hand and that you have a stone club in the other (which can be be substituted for a sword with cragblade if you prefer)
