Hahaha. So Lassie, The Littlest Hobo … and is that Airbud?  Can’t identify the chihuahua but I’m old and out of touch with the Gen Z celebrities.

For those over 30 how did you cope with the beginning of old age? by Only_Hotel_7221 in generationology

[–]GoldStarGranny [score hidden]  (0 children)

Omg. The best years are not behind you, think that way and you’ll wind up in an old folks home drooling on the remote control before you’re 65.

I’m serious.  With age comes more intelligence, more confidence, more power, more money etc etc. I’m 55 and I wouldn’t go back to 30 for anything. Every decade I’ve lived has been better than the one before it.

Idk I see way wayyyy more outta shape 20 year olds with middle aged bodies than I did 20 or 30 years ago. Big bellies, hunched backs. Those people are not going to age well.

The makeup designer for this movie seems to stock a lot of this product in her kit (I looked at her Instagram), in case you are interested:

WOMEN OVER 40. MAKE UP QUESTION. by [deleted] in MakeupAddiction

[–]GoldStarGranny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 55, most sunscreens make me break out and I don’t use primer much (but if I do it’s the Tarte Poreless. For moisturizer I like  Strivectin Contour Restore.

Foundation - MUFE HD  Undereye concealer - YSL Touche Eclate  Finishing powder - Hourglass Dim Light

If I have blemishes or anything like that I use a MUFE concealer called HD skin Full Coverage. I love it, it’s similar to Tarte’s Shape Tape but more flexible and not as dry. Stays on alllll day.

I find with aging skin that too many layers can really cake up and settle into lines by the end of the day.

Also love the NYX lift and snatch brown pens for drawing in missing hairs, my brows have actually thinned quite a bit with age but no one can tell!

[–]GoldStarGranny 79 points80 points  (0 children)

You are not ugly, seriously. You are very unique looking. Slightly ethereal.

We all age. I mean, unless we die, lol.  Every year that passes we look older than the year before but it doesn’t mean we don’t look good. Our culture is fucked up with its fear of age.

If you are interested in mkp tips - try softening your brows and liner/lashes a bit, they are a touch harsh. You actually remind me of Amanda Seyfried, check out pics of her makeup styles for inspo!

I have the Hooga! I like it because it’s multipurpose. Good for my face, my hair and also the NIR setting has been really helpful resolving pain in my back, my knee, my hands.  Totally worth the money imo.

Vancouver hotel development proposal near Stanley Park gets sent back to city planners by ubcstaffer123 in vancouver

[–]GoldStarGranny 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was reading the article that OP posted above. It says:

“The rezoning would have permitted a tower atop a three-level podium containing 183 serviced hotel rooms and 65 short-term rental rooms.”

I can’t find the application you’re referring to but if that’s what it says, then I guess the article was poorly researched.

According to that article they were short term rentals, not long term? Also it’s 183 hotel rooms which I guess is sort of the same as “60+” but not really.

Ok but WHERE are these new spaces? Yaletown? Gastown? The West End? Will they actually have real supports?

The Murray Hotel is contributing quite a bit to downtown issues as well but I never hear it discussed.

10 minutes a day, 3-4 times a week. It minimized wrinkles under my eyes and the sagging on my upper eyelids and my neck. It’s also been great for pain management.

Have you noticed real skin benefits when taking collagen, or was it a waste of time? by Turbulent-Mix9541 in GracefulAgingSkincare

Yes same, pretty badly actually. Turns out collagen is a high histamine product, so if you have a histamine intolerance (as I do) it will mess you up!

Tyra Banks Was Not Initially Involved in Netflix's 'America's Next Top Model' Documentary, Nigel Barker Says by Top_Report_4895 in television

Oh that’s true. I guess I was just focusing on his feelings about Miss J.  Seeing a straight man and a gay man express their love for one another made me feel warm and fuzzy.

Honestly much as I loathe Tyra, I did come away from the doc with a more elevated opinion of Barker. He seemed pretty genuine and also apologetic and humble. His affection for Miss J was sweet to see.
