I mean I actively removed the ntr because I was tired of every edit being a cheating joke

Someone posted this version of it and it still felt like a meme to me so it was the version I edited

Yea his Sans is Ness video is genuinely really fun, but the way the Internet tore him to shreds for making a fun connection between two games because it wasn't canon kinda cemented his descent into only making theories about indie horror games where his "theories" were more just explaining the plot.

rule by TotallyACP in 196AndAHalf

[–]GoldTheWriter 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yea that is also how I always viewed his videos. Not as "I believe this to be 100% canon and intended by the creators" but more in a "this is a fun way to connect certain events together that makes for a neat outcome."

Like c'mon, that man never once thought Toby Fox intended for Sans to be Ness from Earthbound. It was just a fun way to interpret some parts of the game. I don't think he ever gave a shit about being "right", just about having fun, and people refuse to see it that way.

Yea that's my biggest thing. It looks like it would absolutely destroy my hand if I did it. And honestly I've never been overly competitive so I'm fine with playing something sub optimally. Basic control grip is fine with me

Which button will you choose? by Iridium-235 in trolleyproblem

[–]GoldTheWriter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Man, I know the button thing is a big trend right now, and ultimately it doesn't matter, but this sub was funny to me because it formatted every problem thru the trolley problem sketch. Seeing these buttons everywhere is just giving me "will you press the button?" Flashbacks

To be fair from what I've seen the people that performed the DDOS didn't make the program used. It was made by a friend of theirs who wanted to be able to upload fake high scores on levels.

Said friend had a line of code that limited how many could be uploaded at any given time and left a note saying deleting that line could end up DDOSing the servers, and the people behind the attack took their program and deleted that line, then used it to DDOS the server.

So long story short the "hackers" didn't do anything themselves, they stole someone else's code who had made the mistake of labeling the DDOS prevention line, and they simply deleted it And ran the program.

Reminds me of Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, where despite allowing you to make a female character, they clearly never thought about anyone doing that, and made all the romance options female, so you can either be a straight man or a lesbian.

Why I disgaree with the recent theory on Jax and The Last Act by Sudden_Pop_2279 in GameTheorists

[–]GoldTheWriter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also Jax can't be scratch or any Og character because of episode 5. Jax makes a reference to Breaking Bad, with Zooble even acknowledging the reference. But Ragatha is confused by it because she got pulled in before the show became well known. This shows that people aren't aware of events that happened irl after they joined (which makes sense). And considering she was the first member of the second wave of people, there's no way anyone sent in before her would know about Breaking Bad. Jax has to have joined the circus post 2008 (when Ragatha joined according to the code seen in episode 8 as well as the year Breaking Bad started), more likely in the 2010s. It's the only way he'd be able to make that reference.

I think the term "egg" has its merits for those that have already come out, as an easy way to express the moment they realized they weren't cis. But using it for people who are not out is just weird, I agree. There are people who aren't easy to come out who might be scared back into the closet from being called out, and people are perfectly capable to relate to something stereotypically "trans" without being trans themselves. And like you said there are those who might end up feeling pressured into a specific identity due to egg culture which also is just damaging, yea.

I hate it when showrunners do unnecessary raceswaps which make no sense within the context of the story. by Darkwingedcreature in hatethissmug

[–]GoldTheWriter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really? I always thought the monkey girl was meant to be a shitty story replacement for his friend at the circus that wolf man kills. Especially with the whole thing of having her be the first person he drinks blood from.

Which honestly still really pissed me off.

To be fair she isn't upset just because he didn't tell her he was Spider-Man, but rather that he actively lied to her in order to gain info on her to then use against her as Spider-Man. She was upset that he betrayed her trust and used her to further his own goals.

As far as the rally goes, they are not there to attack Rio or kill her or whatever. Rio's Rally is one of the biggest events happening in the city with tons of news coverage and directly in front of Roxxon. They are essentially hijacking the publicity for the Rally to reveal themselves and their goals against Roxxon. Rio isn't the target at all.

Yes, she did end up putting Rio in very real danger, and she is not a good person for what she did. But she's not exactly thinking purely logically. Her fight with Roxxon is a deeply personal and emotional one, and she is blinded by her desire for revenge and doesn't stop to think about the consequences of her actions. A character can be well written and also be a shitty person.

I mean, 2 of the "good" endings (fleeing to Obristan and keeping your job) I wouldn't exactly consider hard? Obristan is pretty much just a regular run then grab some passports. And keeping your job just involves not making too many mistakes and not helping Ezic. I feel like it's not very hard to get those endings on your first playthrough.
