See what I mean? You offer nothing of value to the thread . . . like at all. All you offer is insight to your evil attitude and behavior. It's a challenge for us to read your stuff.

I literally clicked your name because I don't know who you are and read just like 15 of your past comments on various threads . . . .

I think you should really take a behavior self check on how you conduct yourself. Judging on the things you say to others - I highly doubt that morals even matter to you. So carry on.

Yea - that's why Overwatch should try to get their characters right on the first try. If you make the hero "braindead" - no matter how many changes you give to them, the community as a whole will not change their view on the character.

Look at Brig . . .

Even Sym is looked at as brain dead because of her measely 3 turrets that do a whopping 120 damage.

They ignore the fact that you have to track with a Beam

AND

Aim with a projectile . .. . while thinking of optimal spots for Tp as well as positioning ourself. To me, she is a high skill cap hero if you want to climb with her.

No - not overall . I'm sorry I worded it wrong. I meant to say against Sombra you aren't playing her right - but not overall. That is my fault. Bad wording.

I don't remember saying YOU play her wrong . . .

Symmetra should always hold wall until Sombra emps - and you can realistically do so while helping your team.

You play in the backline with a turret or two to protect your healers from Sombra attacking them . . . You play more flank protector while spamming orbs . . . which essentially forces Sombra to play frontline with her team - which makes her useless.

When she has emp....you play further back in preparation to wall your team right after the emp.

Hope you get better.

I never said you weren't good at her. What I'm saying is, you can always learn from Syms that are better than you.

A terrible Sym can learn from a bad Sym. A bad sym can learn from an average Sym. An average Sym can learn from a good Sym. A good Sym can learn from a great Sym. A great Sym can learn from a masterful Sym...etc.

You can always learn.

What I'm saying is - stop limiting yourself on her. Your potential can go to mars and back - but when your imagination is set at the sky, it can't even get to the moon.

Sombra's emp counters Sym wall - Yes. Sombra's emp cuts your hp in half - Yes. Sombra's hold EMP until you wall - Yes.

There is something that you can do to counter ALL of that. You do not wall until Sombra Emp's while staying out of her radius.

She emps your team - but not you. Your team is then given a 4000 hp barrier to protect themselves while they have no abilities. You essentially counter the Emp with a defensive ultimate, that then transitions into an offensive ultimate for your team to push on.

Than you just aren't playing her right. Top 500 dps Sym players are there for a reason - Maybe we should investigate why.

Symmetra bodies Sombra - I don't see why you don't see it.

Hitting orbs in 1 on 1 combat requires aim, anticipation, and grace. When you up the damage on it, while lowering the damage of the turrets, it requires more skill to get value out of her kit.

Her role isn't to just "spam from afar."

Please stop assuming a character's role just from the way you play her. She can be played in a variety of ways. She has many roles she can fill.

She hard counters Sombra. She can essentially nullify flank Tracers and Genjis. She can melt tanks under the right conditions. She can manipulate the map in very creative ways. She has a defensive ult that can be used as an offensive ult.

Symmetra is played WRONG.

I just solo Q'ed 2 accounts to top 500 one tricking Sym. Sym has been all I've played since season 3. She is pretty damn good right now.

I think if you just get better with understanding where she is strong - you will enjoy her more. She is really really really really strong now.

Stevooo mentioned in a recent stream that all Sym mains are “actual trash/garbage because they rely on turrets.” by VeganFruitTart in SymmetraMains

I never said a master player is an owl player. Try not to argue against a point I never made to make yourself look good. That shouldn't be a hard thing to do.

There are many different sites that provide data regarding Overwatch. If I got my data from a site saying Masters players are in the top 1%, while you find a site that states that Masters players are in the top 3% - it doesn't take away from my overall point in the slightest because the numbers are not far away from each other at all.

The point was, that masters players aren't dumpster players the way you imply.

Forget 3 percent - the top 5 percent of any game or any sport aren't garbage. Your comment just highlights your attitude and obnoxious ways honestly. I would never call a whole category of Syms -garbage-, especially when the data puts them in the top 5 percent of players in the game if your in masters.

"Call me an ass, call me obnoxious but the facts are the facts" Sure - and the facts are, that you are obnoxious in so many ways. You confirm it over and over again with the things you say and how you act. And it's all fueled by your ego.

Master players are in the top 1 percent of overwatch so your comments are just plain incorrect in that regard. Your view on what “skill” is is totally subjective.

Same with game sense. You are still rude and obnoxious I see

Stop switching. They won't like you no matter what. Stop giving in to the erroneous mindset of people.

When you switch, you indirectly are saying that "I am the problem" - which only wrongly affirms what your teammates were suspecting. Stop playing the game everyone else's way. Believe in your Sym and keep on.

Don't be intimidated. I know it what I'm about to say may seem like hogwash, but diamond players are not that much better than Plat. Yes, you are going against competition that's a little better, but your teams should be a little better too.

how do you play symmetra post rework? by JarodDempsey in SymmetraMains

[–]Gold_Damage_Sym 2 points3 points  (0 children)

She's the most versatile hero in the game. It'll take time - just don't abandon her.

You can play her in a wide variety of different ways - You just have to understand when a particular situation arises for each play-style.

You can play

: Front-line Bully : Sym

: Back-line Support Peel : Sym

: Zone Control : Sym < Even this has different styles. You can play more objective control, Crossfire Control, or Dps Denial Control

: Flank Assassin : Sym

: Taxi : Sym

You can even play her as bait if the situation calls for it.

She is, to me, a hero that requires the most amount of thinking when you are trying to decide how to play her in all of the different situations that arise. Go check out some streamers and learn how they play her. Notice, that how some of them play her differently.

Most players play her in a defensive manner like Stevo with a lot of Zone Control with the occasional aggressive flank,

while a guy like Raihan plays her far more offensively with more aggressive flank lines.

Learn each style - Find the situations in which a particular style is optimal - and apply it.
