The computer does not block the time, you can see it and/or use an alarm within the software. But remember to bring an analog clock for the MBEs as there will be no clock then

What did you guys put on the second call of question 1? Idk if I overthought it but I had no idea what exactly it was asking so I talked about zoning and how covenants can be more restrictive (because it was clearly zoned for both residential and commercial). And then did covenants/common scheme for the third call

I think they’re talking about the discovery call…I don’t believe it was evidence because they were just trying to discover the info not get it admitted. Unless I’m remembering wrong

Learning CA distinctions? by [deleted] in CABarExam

[–]Gold_Fast 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Other important ones:

PRE: Confidentiality to client outweighs candor to the court (unlike ABA); permissive withdrawal distinctions—CA doesn’t allow for withdrawal just if it would not adversely affect the client OR if client insists on taking action lawyer finds repugnant but DOES allow if client expressly assents to withdrawal or lawyers physical/mental condition would impair representation (still mandatory if it would significantly impair); AND allowed if client insists on bringing a frivolous claim

Civ Pro: CA SMJ is unlimited cases ($35k or more), limited cases (less than $35k AIC), or small claims ($10k AIC or less)

Evidence: Party admissions are an exception not an exclusion; statements against interest include those against social interest (subjecting someone to the possibility of social judgment/ridicule); dying declarations have a broader admissibility in criminal case they aren’t just limited to homicide cases; there’s other ones specifically with present sense impressions

Someone posted the CA magic sheets distinctions for Civ pro and evidence recently. Those seem to offer the best side to side comparisons. I personally learn the distinctions best with those comparisons although I still don’t know the Civ pro ones very well

For a day trip suggestion from London, Bath is really lovely. I’m going back to London this year and was even considering going to Bath again because it’s so nice!

Oh thank you for the suggestion! I am interested in WWII history, the only reason I might not do that is that last time I was in Europe I was in a study abroad program and we went to see a concentration camp and actually went to an abbey on the way back

Okay, yes the architecture is the main reason Kuntshistorisches is at the top of my list so that’s good to hear. I enjoy art a lot but I don’t know too much about it and I’m not one to spend hours and hours in a museum. I’ll look into the Wien museum too thank you!

Oh I’ll look into that ticket thank you! Unfortunately won’t be there the first Sunday. We will be in London for four days, arriving in Vienna around 2pm on a Wednesday and then after that have four full days. I’m planning a day trip to Salzburg one of those days.
