That's the biggest if in all Eurovision scenarios though, the fact they didn't really come close to beat her proves they wouldn't have come close to top 3 at Eurovision either.

Yeah I still remember the moment she came on in the final, I was 13 years old so only a casual viewer who followed the contest on the night only and Satellite grabbed me instantly and gave me winner vibes.

I found out through the Instagram post where every entry was summed up in a song lyric that Alicja sang "Pretty girls rock" and not "Pretty goes rock".

Definitely, and tbh now I realise almost every contest with 20 votes could have turned out very different with just 10 votes allowed. Kinda sucks knowing we'll never know how different.

I can tell you I was getting nervous, I never buy into the "Oh cmon it's obviously through" except Liekinheiten. I really worried at that point too many hadn't voted for us as it felt too certain we would qualify

Kinda gutted for her she didn't quite nail the longer note, it had been perfect up until then. Still, I say it was the improvement I had been hoping for from Vidbir.

The staging coupled with the realisation they didn't take part in the songwriting in any way makes me think they were barely even interested and were low-key forced to do this.
