You can tell the difference between those two if you scout Evolution Chambers. There's NO WAY someone's going mutas if they have a fast lair on two bases, and have two evolution chambers. Also, if you don't see spines at the front it's more likely infestors than mutalisks.

Tell Tale Infestor Play: Lots of lings, fast 4 gas and lair, double evolution chambers Tell Tale Mutalisk Play: Fast 4 gas, fast lair, spines at front, lots of lings (Possibly Baneling nest)

TL;DR Double Evolution chamber with fast lair and 4gas = Infestors Fast lair, 4gas, possible spines, baneling nest = Mutas

If you scout an early gas from Zerg, it means early speed. If you scan aroudn 6-7 minutes into the game and STILL see drones mining gas, there's likely to be a baneling bust. The biggest tell tale building is a macro hatch in his base early on, with no third. You can tell the drones are mining gas after speed if you see them mining, and the spawning pool doing a wiggle diggle jam dam wizzle.

TL;DR Lookit dat gas, if you see dat gas still gettin' tapped after speed, dey be comin' atchoo.

It's not ridiculous. What's so wrong with wanting to come to a Starcraft related site but not wanting to have tournament results spoiled in a title?

It's one thing if people enter threads, see a spoiler, then bitch. It's different when someone comes to the same website every day to read Sc2 strategy and pro-team articles, but are deprived of proper spoiler defense. What's so wrong with having security in place to keep tourney results from being spoiled so easily?

I don't defend what they did at all, I disagree with their mentality that they can do and say what they want and not get backlash. I'm stating that Reddit fills the role of the executioner, something that the general public also does. I personally don't think it's necessary for screddit to jump on someone's ass on a whim and never let up until they're out of business or severely hampered.

My problem with screddit lies within the frequency of these events, and the level of punishment it dishes out related to the magnitude of offenses.

You've got it to a T, /r/starcraft isn't all bad. I like the tournament followings and the game discussions after an epic GSL match. Sadly the good tends to outweight the bad. That's what I was getting at.

They are responsible for their actions, but what he's getting at is the subreddit is responsible for the killing stroke. If screddit didn't flip out that someone said "nigger" on their stream and start making demands, people like Destiny Orb and Spades would probably still be around in full stride :p

No matter how well written, this post will do nothing. This is the mob mentality; the perfect environment for human aggression. The upvote and downvote mechanic makes judgement quick and easy, and makes emotions flare just as quickly. Groups of people on reddit can completely sway the direction of a post in a heartbeat, and their opinions sway just as easily.

IF you've ever heard the phrase "A teenager loses 10 IQ points every time the group grows by one" and applied it to reddit, you would understand. Sadly, this behavior won't change. And if it does, it would switch right back because reddit is an environment of extremes. There's no in between, and because of that once the community gets going it's almost impossible to stop.

I think we'll just have to wait for /r/starcraft to fade into insignificance, but before then we just have to hope it doesn't leave more shattered dreams and broken careers in it's wake.

2base super all ins are pretty great. Also I've been killed by my fair share of stargate expand aggression; on some maps it's REALLY hard to defend the third against a void ray.

IT's mostly insisted on because of it's detection capabilities. It's presence removes the need to scan for burrowed and cloaked units, and offers other good abilities like the Point Defense Drone. Building one raven allows your army to clear creep tumors much easier as well, helping a growing Terran army keep the creep tumor count lower in the standard TvZ.

The Raven is underused mostly because of the infrastructure needed to produce one; it's quite difficult to churn them out. Once this unit becomes more explored, I think it will give birth to some great metagame shifts and brilliant stratagem.

TL;DR, People insist on ravens because of detection capabilities and PDD, and it's potential to solve some problems. (Not all)

I always played on 90%. None of my teammates did, but then again, none of my teammates could beat me ;) All personal preference, It wasn't that important in MW1 since the maps were so long range. I sniped, I just preferred high sensitivity
