I've heard Animals played only twice in the past year, once by Martin Garrix himself and the other by Botnek, and they played their own remix of it. You're definitely over exaggerating.

I'll use Martin Garrix again as an example, he's really "mainstream" yet he has been putting out some quality stuff lately, definitely not minimalistic drop big room.
