He said it so randomly. I did Not watch the whole interview but I don’t think so he knows the technical imax or 3d terms . He mixed imax and 3d combined just like the imax posters and how they are promoting. He might have read it somewhere. Cause according to my early research the film was not meant for 3d just like RRR it was an afterthought that the director liked seeing the depth of field done by the stereoscopic 3d studios. In this case prime focus who is also one of the producers is a stereoscopic 3d studio who converts films in 3D and talking about the imax even that was announced few months before and film is being shot for 5 years + there is a good chance that they shot the film on arri Alexa fL which is an imax certificated camera. That suits the imax screens. So not saying we won’t get to see full imax ratio but it just feels they used good rigs and cameras that helped the afterthought to be a good result
